I have some great news!

1) Our new Florida location is online. All nodes at this location come with RAID-10 SSD storage by default.

If you have a VPS with us, you can migrate it over to this new location ("Migrate to another DC" in the KiwiVM panel).

If you do not have a VPS with us, then you should get one.

2) New Micro plans (yes, those are YEARLY prices):

MICRO-64 $3.99/year 64MB RAM 1.5GB SSD 100GB Bandwidth on GigE

MICRO-96 $4.99/year 96MB RAM 2.0GB SSD 200GB Bandwidth on GigE

MICRO-128 $5.99/year 128MB RAM 3.0GB SSD 300GB Bandwidth on GigE

Locations:

Jacksonville, Florida

Phoenix, Arizona

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Platform: OpenVZ, control panel: KiwiVM

3) KiwiVM kicks ass, as always! Ticketless migrations between datacenters, automatic migrations from other providers, snapshots (create/restore), automatic OpenVPN installer, 2 factor authentication, all this good stuff is in the KiwiVM for you to play with. A friend of mine once said he likes KiwiVM more than his girlfriend.

  • Been using one of your 512 Plans (6GB SSD, 500Gb Bw) since July and I just want to mention that those machines are very good. Almost no downtime at all, and this Kiwi panel with snapshots and migration features is really cool :)

Any chance for something like those plans again?

  • so, what can you do with a 64mb vps? Any creative ideas?

Thank you for the feedback! We're working our asses off to make everyone happy.
Sorry, can't promise anything like that plan anytime soon :)

    VPN/PPTPD/ZNC, some static site, :)

  • Cool!

  • It does have IPv4 right? Any test files in each location? Gigabit ports?

Yes, it comes with 1 IPv4 address (extra IPs are $1/mo each). Everything is on GigE.
I will PM you some test IPs in a few minutes.

    Yes, NL is already live.

Well, our NL location is 11ms away from our German location (which we no longer offer for new signups). Any reason why NL is not working for you?

This was introduced in our TOS back in 2006-ish, and to be honest, I do not remember the exact reasons, I think it was related to DoS attacks.

    There is no limit :)

  • @dcc People will buy small vps and spam hard, i.p blacklisted, and change DC, and do it again and again, I've seen a lot. Be careful...you may lose whole i.p block by being blacklistd.

The service I would use the VPS for is not free in NL but is free in Germany...

I wish this offer was still available... :(

    Thanks for the warning.

With our past LEB offers we got quite good at dealing with abuse :)
Not only we develop Nodewatch for this purpose, but we also use a few other things to detect abuse at early stages. Abusers left us long time ago :)

I see, thanks for the explanation.
Germany has an issue which makes it not the best place for hosting compared to NL. It is their laws that kind of crazy when it comes to hard drive seizures (police just comes and takes all they want, no warning and no way to get your equipment back).

  • @dcc how about ipv6?

    "Soon" :D

I'll be honest, no IPv6 for now and no firm ETA.
