In the client area optional, they can activated theirself.

I was try to combine symantec id protection but its looks more familiar if using 2step authentication. Do you have idea?

but will surely look out for some help to guide you..

  • Everyone uses a different method for this new hip ideal of 2 step verification. The authentication methods used by Google are standardized, although not many companies/people have implemented it fully, be that at all.

Dual step is realistically just as secure as one password. The system was developed so that the average user would be more secure (they are more susceptible to social engineering). Many users will use the same password across multiple sites for example, or write their password on a sticky attached to the monitor. 2 Step authentication allows the user some flexibility.

That said, setting up 2 step might be overkill for one user login, and may not add any security benefit. You may want to check out client certificate authentication (e.g. http://www.garex.net/apache/). With client certificate authentication you provide your information that you know (password), and something that you own (private certificate proving your identity).
