Looking for Dedicated Dual L5520/24GB RAM
Currently looking for a dedicated server with the following specs
- Xeon L5520 x2
- 24GB RAM
- 1TB HDD x2
- Gbit Port - 10TB BW
- /28 IP Block with SWIP/Reverse DNS
- Prefered Locations (in order from most to least): Chicago, NYC, Atlanta, Florida
- Budget $90 CAD (will not go above)
- Would prefer that it is a well-established DC, but that isnt really important as long as your multihomed, and have a reasonable latency across east coast.
Not taking offers from the following datacenters/providers
- GoRack Jacksonville - already have a server there.
- Dacentec
Note that I am currently just looking at the options I have - I wont be moving instantly, but in 1-2m if I find an option I like.
Please dont PM with offers

Ive been with quickpacket before, they were quite awesome
This is quite a good deal - double the RAM you want though and 5 times the bandwidth. You'll need to get additional IPs though.
I think the budget is 90 $?
Sorry - wont go above the $90CAD
http://www.fliphost.net/dedicated.html
if the coupon is valid its $49 per month:
PROMOCODE: Queryfoundry
Its Dallas, so its not one of you preferred locations though.
Yes, it's still valid...
Does anyone know where I can contact FlipHost about this?
Interested - because I can still get ~30ms ping from Toronto and other locations across the east coast (we are hosting a few TF2 Servers), but I wont be able to purchase/migrate the server until around Late December/January
I would just contact them on their website.
or pm @concerto49
pm @Fliphost directly.
@FlipHost
Just submit a ticket and reserve a server. No problem.
QuickPacket offer seems perfect to you (one of preferred location):

Price comparable, but if bandwidth or Port speed is a concern, QuickPacket would be a better choice.
Here is what I can offer in Chicago:
Dual Intel Xeon L5520
32GB DDR3 ECC RAM
500GB SATA HDD
10TB BW @ 1Gbps
4 usable IPs (additional are available for purchase)
Free IPMI / KVM on request
Price: $75/month
@StellaEV : Why not take a E3 from OVH ?
As far as I can see (sorry, I just took a quick check), there arent any E3s for lower than $90 on OVH.ie
I second @qps. They set me up with dual L5520s, 24GB of RAM 128GB SSD (you can change this to 1TB HDD) gigabit port and 13 ips for $70
@qps
can you set the same for me...
if you can, let me know
@agoldenberg thanks for sharing this
@agentmishra No problem. Ordered yesterday and it was provisioned within a few hours.
but their order link has the specs but when i config it to the specs you have mentioned, the price is higher...
@agoldenberg, what should i do?
@agentmishra Talk to them on Skype. Their skype id is QuickPacket
Still debating through both QuickPacket and QueryFoundry lol
@qps - I apparently cant register without ordering, is there a way/place for me to send some sales questions?
i wonder if fliphost or cloudshard could beat quickpacket...

Thanks
We can do this for $70.00/m> @StellaEV said:
I recommend QuickPacket.
+1 for @QPS
look at Soyoustart.com, I guess it'll come to US soon too
is it a dual xeon?
whats the ipv4 pricing block though with them?
the budget is very low, hard to cover the ram cost. good luck
