Our site was taken down with a 2Gbps DDoS attack last night, we are working with our provider to get some source IP porn. If any other providers that were involved in this have any info that might help, please get in touch 
Everything seems back to normal, for now.

Handy Networks datacenter in Denver. With MDDHosting. I dont really expect them to mitigate such a large attack on a shared hosting account anyway.

The problem is the police will usually not be interested in such things, unless you can claim some big loss (like $5000 or more).
I think at this point the best way to deal with the kid is sending someone to visit him and give him some f2f education.

Yes, why.. one of the reasons we purchased a reseller from them was that the license was included and the hosting is solid. (Cloudlinux/litespeed). Go on, tell me its not secure enough.
I fail to see how setting up a VPS with cPanel is any securer than using somebody else's (Especially a company like MDD that specializes in shared hosting), all our stuff is backed up to another server every hour regardless.
So how does that relate to someone like MDD who I am sure is running FastCGI or SUphp

Ok three of our DE VPS nodes and our DNS server are now also under heavy attack which we are in the process of mitigating now.
Can't someone just hack one of the bots, get the IP of the C&C server and take it down? This kid is starting to get annoying
This crook Constantinos should protect his name (trademark) and with selling "use my name & put blame on me for only 5$ everytime you get ddosed by someone" license eventually get rich someday :-)

I think looking at Constantinos for this one is a waste of time. @VMPort has a hater otherwise LET and WHT would continue to be graced by Constantino's presence. After all he knows what a proxy is according to that one screenshot from HF where he said he wasn't @anonymoushackers lol

There are IRC-based Botnet and Webpanelbased one. Last are mostly used by script kiddies. So, @gsrdgrdghd meant, if someone would shut that server down, nobody more can use those infected users to ddos another page...
