Are you fine with LXC and IPv6 only?

  • LXC is fine, but I need ipv4, if it also has ipv6, then it's better.

How many machines do you need?

EDIT: Never mind, I misread your first post. I read it as West EU, but you're looking for West US. My bad :/

  • I don't know yet, just looking around to test across providers.
Maybe it will reach a hundred machines, like what happened with the dedicated servers.
Maybe it's 0 after few months if the project doesn't go well.

Definitely keep an eye on BuyVM. Stock in most locations sells within minutes, depending on how many they make available. You'll want to get notified instantly when new stock is available: https://buyvm.hasstock.net/

I'm looking at uptime of over 240 days (I'm a newer customer) without any real issues. Only thing to note is that the network speed is shared by every VPS on a node so sometimes it can get a little slow... but that's standard practice for most hosts.

  • Just got one from BuyVM :)
    One from Virmach offers

I don't use much bandwidth, but I just like the unmetered option xD
