Dedicated Server for Plex in North America
Hi,
Was wondering if anyone is offering/could offer something like this in North America:
Budget: ~$60
CPU: Intel 7xxx series or newer with iGPU/QuickSync support or Intel Xeon v6 or newer with iGPU/QuickSync support (needs to support hardware decoding of 4K 10-bit, so Kaby Lake/Coffee Lake or newer)
Memory: 16GB or more
Storage: 480GB total or more (SSD or HD doesn't matter)
Network: 250Mbps+
Bandwidth: 10TB/month+
I currently have something similar at hetzner for $50USD/month and the connectivity to North America has been bad lately, and this is with NGINX reverse proxy behind cloudflare. Also tried Ikoula but had a horrible experience.
Thanks.

You can try colocation service from @DataIdeas-Josh and with a intel nuc with latest intel processor?because your storage requirements are less

@ibk Like codelock had mention. You could use an Intel Nuc or even something like a (Raspberry Pi (only good for direct streaming)) and our Micro Colo service. It starts at $10/month https://my2.dataideas.com/cart.php?a=add&pid=66
