Realistically though, you're probably better off going for 2x 3950X / 5950X, or a few lower tier Ryzen boxes. You're going to pay way more for a Threadripper server than you would pay for 2 or 3 standard Ryzen boxes.

I had assumed it was for the shitload more PCIe lanes but I think he'd have had to mention a bunch of graphics cards in the OP.

It's a tad bit out of your budget, but I think it's the best you'll get. Not sure how reliable they are as I've never used them. It also seems to be out of stock.
