Cloud Gaming Platforms?

Are there anything that comes with extra strong CPU? I intend to run a steam game with workshop mods. Its heavily CPU bound game.

What are the more competitive options out there?

Ones I can think of from the top of my head:

    • Shadow (bankrupt but great)
    • GeForce Now
    • Stadia

Edit: Also check out Vectordash (https://vectordash.com/), they used to rent servers from me and their tech is p cool.

Or if you are willing to pay $100/mo+ for a fully dedicated GPU server, PM me :joy:

Paperspace and AWS are both popular since you can pay by the hour for everything but persistent storage.

  • With what software you are using for gaming in the cloud?

Stellaris with 10k star systems and 150 AI players.

  • Shadow is the best for your need, but there is a waiting list for months... + they are bankrupt and wait to be bought by a hosting big player like OVH (or OVH themselve).

In waiting for this, AWS and create your own server (there is few howtos online) or go with paperspace.

Geforce Now, Stadia and others may not work properly with Steam Workshops ; Stadia will not anyway, but Geforce Now may works but offers a limited disk space and i've never tried how it would word with workshop...

    Good luck!

That sounds very juicy... (big Stellaris fan myself)

You cannot run mods on GeForce Now; Stadia.
