Looking for a Ryzen VM in US
Hey all!
I am on the hunt for a KVM VPS, located in the US (Ideally in Atlanta, but almost anything on the East Coast will work - NY, MIA, TX, etc etc).
I need the following:
4vCPU - Ryzen (shared is fine)
120GB nvme/ssd
4-6GB Ram
1TB bandwidth should be plenty, 100Mbps will work, but 1Gbps would be obviously nicer :-)
My budget is up to $20/m (although it wont hurt if its cheaper lol)
I would rather pay monthly, not annually.
I would rather it be from a company that has been around for at least 3 years.
This VPS will mostly be idle, except the occasional compiling job that I will throw at it. CPU will be used at max for up to an hour per week, likely even less than that.
Currently using hetzner and their epyc VMs, however its too far from me, and I need something closer. Plus for the compiling job - ryzen works much better/faster.
No ColonClensing please.
Thanks!

Go with @seriesn and @Francisco for New York Ryzen. Things won't go wrong. The former also provides Miami.
Memory test for myself - providers here who also currently have Ryzen on the East Coast are:
@georgedatacenter @hotlineservers @17brownj @key900 @DataIdeas-Josh
@seriesn has some good stuff in Miami.
@MikeA has similar good stuff in Dallas.
I have both of them.
The main problem is the budget.
Maybe @MikeA still has those Ryzen Vdedis with 16GB RAM / 120GB Nvme but only 2 cores for $16/month
an hour per week, likely even less than that.
AWS, Digital Ocean, hourly VPS
Won't you save more by using them?
8 cores intel still beat AMD ryzen
FRom DO
16GB 8vCPUs 6TB 320GB $0.119/hour
0.119*2 hours/week * 4 weeks /mo = <$1 /mo
Vultr high-frequency-compute
384 GB SSD
4 CPU
16 GB
5 TB
$96/mo
$0.143/hr
You can try with @seriesn in my case it won't work with @Francisco. But you can try with @key900 @hotlineservers @DataIdeas-Josh they wil be pretty good at this. 😘
Budget is insanely low. Up your budget to maybe 40 to 60/mo and then you will get that many cores and storage in USA. US hosting at least the quality / premium tend to be more expensive than EU.
IF you can increase your budget a bit then please check out https://my.hosteons.com/cart.php?gid=22
We offer in LA and Dallas, though we are out of stock in LA right now, more stock expected in LA in next 3-4 days
Thanks
Too many users are idling their nodes 95% of the time because they don't want to learn automated setup.
Jenkins and other CI systems have plugins for that.
My budget is up to $20/m
that budget is good enough for Ryzen VPS
Nexus is good provider
@t0ny0 and you didn't send me a PM.
I'm now sad.
You know I'll hook you up!
nexusbytes and letbox
Thank you, everyone.
@seriesn made me an offer I couldn't refuse, so I think I will go for that.
