Fastest DDNS Dynamic DNS out there - Low TTL - Instant Update

Hi Friends!

I am looking for the "fastest" DDNS out there - ATM I'm using NameCheap and update the A + Dynamic DNS by URL, which switches instantly...
BUT, it still takes a few minutes afterwards to fully propagate to the domain and be reachable.
NameCheap will not lower the TTL.

Anyone know of a better solution?

THANSK!

  • Even with a TTL of 60, some browsers still cache for 300 seconds.

  • CloudFlare?

  • The Limit is the user not you. Many ISPs configure a min TTL on their resolvers of 30 mins or sometimes even higher, so even if you can update on your side every minute, to users still the old cached value will get served.

ns1 is fastest, more advanced than cloudflare dns!

Go for AWS Route53 as cheaper alternative.
No matter what you can't tackle isp dns cache or client/browser dns cache. That won't be reflected immediately or as per TTL

  • Cloudflare or NS1

But if its a website its best if you go with cloudflare and just enable the proxy as that's the fastest method I know of to this date.

  • Cloudflare as reverse proxy, some ISP can't respect TTL.

The default TTL is 120 but you can lower it down up to 30 seconds. Most providers will stick you with ridiculously high TTLs such as 600 or 3600 which makes the dynamic DNS not really dynamic DNS anymore.

Give it a try and see how quickly the IP gets updated, its awesome!

  • Go for cloudflare and use the module by me to update DNS records:

Perl is an ultimate question and anwser in the same time. You don't talk blasphemy about perl.
