Oh no, 384 MB RAM, that reminds me the $1 deal and its 100MB RAM. It can barely install anything.
    Just waiting for flash sales.

I can setup nginx with php-fpm7.4 and mysql 8 on such a box.

You mean 384MB or 100MB? Respect if you can put it on 100MB RAM box. Installing a usable system is painful. What's more, it only had 1GB bandwidth.
Anyway, I had dropped all machines lower than $5, they're really too small.

On 100MB box. Someone in this community even did with 32MB box.

Virmach upgraded every box to at least 192MB during the VZ6-KVM transition.
My box is 384MB so I'm essentially getting a downgrade because the kernel is now taking up part of the memory.

The smallest box I used to have is 64MB OpenVZ6 container from Secure Dragon, and I had nginx and PHP 5. There's no MySQL because I don't like databases.
I wouldn't try that in KVM because all the kernel processes are taking up memory.

We do, but Deluxe Corporation, the company that owns ColoCrossing now, seems to be vaguely against it so I would not recommend using us for that at this time. They did send us one request to enforce their vague acceptable usage policy, which included two websites hosted with us that were just porn sites. The request appeared to be handed down from higher-ups so to me it seemed like some of them just don't like to be involved/invested in that kind of stuff and that's it.

We do have a separate agreement with them though, and I'm not sure what happened. Every time we have a disagreement it takes weeks to months to receive back any communication from them.

I guess if you did host with us, we'd fight for you since we allow it as long as you're not also breaking some other portion of our terms, but e cannot guarantee that we wouldn't have to ask you to leave if they force it (but then we would slowly leave too.)

Based on our testing, we added enough memory to make up for the kernel and we added enough disk space to make up for it as well. If you have data that shows otherwise please contact me and I'll take a look because it was never our intention for the KVM upgrade to feel like a downgrade.

  • you'll never leave cc unless they impact tons of customers- not just the sporadic porn site

The 0.33 CPU is bottleneck. The memory and storage overhead of KVM kernel is a downgrade theoretically, but does not make a difference in practice.

I noticed that this was on a new order so we'll most likely adjust your due date. Alternatively, if you would like in your case we can offer a refund/cancellation as another choice should you decide to go elsewhere. Let me know if you prefer that before we get to your ticket and we can process it that way instead.

No I don’t want to cancel it, please just reply to the ticket with needed info.
And thank you for adjusting due date..

@VirMach , this is the sixth day...
Please reply to Ticket #976167 - server's IPMI information

  • NY dedicated server no stock?

  • The 384MB KVM can also be ordered with 256MB (not recommended) and then costs $6.25 per year

Most of the cost at this point would go to the IPv4 address.

  • waiting for flash sales...

  • where are u, miss ya BF

  • Dude, I'm still wating BF deals

  • No bf deals???

  • Nice time machine!

  • Strongly recommend against virmach. Their owner is a nitwit, no common sense, absolutely abhorrent behavior. To give you an idea, he'll send you a picture of your prem idle box network graph with a tiny spike of your own backup traffic and say "that's port 25! I know for sure!". Then your service will be suspended without a refund, because his policies are made for that. And he'll happily spit them in your face too. Also what he thinks about all of you people investing in his shit business: "we've done everything we can for your $2". You're not a client, you're a pest he has to deal with to make some money on the side.

In case you didn't read the policy, here it is:
    _
I understand that I waive my right to a refund for this
special offer. I understand I will not receive a refund if my
service is suspended. I understand special offers come with
limited support: VirMach will only provide support to ensure
    my service functions._

If that doesn't smell like scam to you, you need to lose some money for some stupid, moronic, half-assed reason like "port 25 traffic", as clearly evidenced by the overall server traffic graph.

Also his fee fees get hurt easily, make sure you address him with Your highness, and Your excellence, and Lord.
