Hosting providers making custom panels

FrozenPvPsFrozenPvPs Member
edited November 2020 in General

So, a lot of people in the LowEndTalk community have been making custom server panels for their hosting companies.

I decided to make a spreadsheet of people who are developing/have ones.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1r0RlzHdIl3oD_jAuT8ryf-Yyz_xrTAEJ98RkvAgq5ak/edit?usp=sharing

If you have any suggestions on who I missed/should add, please let me know.

    Thanks for the mention!

Yes our control panel ENIGMA is developed in-house by us and is Vuejs based. Backend API is PHP. It houses all features from server/vps management, colo/rack management and billing/account.

We are also using self developed software as control panel since the beginning in 2013.

We are using our homemade panel since we started :)
It's managing cloud servers, domains, billing/payments and support.
We are using PHP and the PhalconPHP framework.

You can add us too to the list.

Our billing, support, provisioning & everything is handled via our in-house panel built over the years.

The UI/UX is kinda old but a major over-haul is on the way ;)

  • Hey, where do I find the links of these panels?

Buy services from all mentioned providers.

  • I always give high preference to hosts that have their own custom panel. This shows they have invested their effort in the service. One indicator of reliability.

Personally, I worry their attempt at a panel is going to have a hole or two the established ones have already found/dealt with. Even Linode isn't free of this

I see it as a considerable amount of effort put into a part of the service that isn't all that significant, at a certain amount of risk.

That's not to say I dislike all of them. I just don't hold them very highly. It's easy to dress up a pig
