hello,

have to give it away, was for a friend, but no response.

using it already for myself, it is one of the best, if not the best, vpn service currently, good speeds (about 220mbit on my gbit for my country), they have multihops, static ip's and wireguard and all works like a charm.

you save around 1y of fees compared to current offers.

paypal friends or crypto

kind regards,
kalipus

  • Offer seems interesting, however I find myself lately using Tor, because for me it's much easier to just open another browser (Tor browser) for anonymity, instead of switching the whole internet connection through VPN.

In my opinion this offer seems interesting just because Surfshark has it's own extensions for Firefox and Chrome, so one can connect just with those browsers.

Why not get a lifetime VPN that supports split-tunneling like Keepsolid or Ivacy for some 40€ or even 20€ on sale? You could install epicbrowser or similar and just use the VPN on application based level. Then again, Tor is probably very comfortable, so don't mind ne :)

    Woah! Slowly, mate.

If you think that just the VPN Company being in the jurisdiction British Virgin Islands will keep you safe, think again. If you're a regular streamer and iso hoarder most VPNs will be just fine. If you are seeking anonymity due to political reasons a VPN is not the solution, but may be a part of the solution depending on the circumstances. If you are doing anything that makes you think you need to be outside the 5/9/14 Eyes Alliance jurisdiction better make sure to get it right. Because if you think SurfShark will wanna tank some bullets for you, you are most likely mistaken.

I agree, you get what you pay for. You also say "save 1 year of fees". All the "Lifetime" VPNs I have bought have saved me multiple times those "yearly fees". Keepsolid definitely doesn't need to hide from the rest. Some LE users have even measured 300 Mbit/s in speed there. Ivacy has served me well for streaming purposes. Not much else I use it for.

  • I used to online stalk many VPN provider. I personally more concern about the political positions rather than corporate location, unfortunately, I can't read Ukrainian so there's a huge question mark about keepsolid.

For Surshark, I have their two-year subscription.

Interesting. How does that work? Is it implemented as an option in the VPN Unlimited software, or some service that needs to be activated from their site?

My mistake. Right now it is implemented only into Keepsolid Android App iirc. I don't use it usually but I just double checked and it does not seem to be in the desktop app, unfortunately.

For Ivacy (which also has a lifetime deal) it is possible in both, their Android and PC app. So if Split tunnelling is essential to you, you might wanna have a look at Ivacy rather:

Ahhh, Ivacy. I have their lifetime plan. When MCO started, I can't even connect to their VPN. It went for weeks, then months. I even passed my account to my friends and asked them to try it. So I decided to stop using them.

Their client is indeed buggy at times but I use their Browser extension 90% of the time (just for US Netflix) and it works just fine aside from having to re-login sometimes due to random logouts happening ever so often. Nothing mission critical for my use case those.
Overall, I think they have improved, they added some nice features and keep adding more. Not the fastest, not the best VPN either. For streaming perfectly fine though.
