Frequently Asked Questions

What payment methods do you support?
We do support Credit Cards (processed by Stripe*), BanContact, EPS, giropay, iDeal and SOFORT. If none of these payment methods is applicable to you, you might also pay via SEPA wire transfer, but you will need to open a ticket for that.

*We know your credit card information is very sensitive and thus we will never store your credit card details on our servers. Instead, those are handled by the payment processor Stripe and we only store a token and the last four digits for later reference.

How long until my virtual server is ready to use?
Provisioning of new virtual servers is fully automated and takes about 5 minutes. As soon as we receive your payment, the setup process is automatically launched for the operating system you selected in the checkout form. (Provided that our system didn't flag you as potential fraud.)

What kinds of usages are accepted?
We accept almost every form of usage that does not make excessive use of our hardware and network, and is not consider illegal in Austria or the Netherlands. In addition, public VPNs, Tor nodes and anything Torrent related is forbidden. For a more detailed list, see the “Accepted Usage Policy” section of our Terms of Service.

Which operating systems are supported?
We can provide you with the latest CentOS, Debian, Fedora, openSuse and Ubuntu releases pre-installed on your virtual server; or you can upload any ISO and install whatever operating system you would like to use.

What level of support is provided?
These are unmanaged virtual server offers, so you are expected to install and configure the server yourself. We give you root access to the virtual server, but you will have to setup any software according to your requirements.

Are those discounts recurring?
Yes, they are! And since you were reading all that text, let me give you one more treat: the first user that post a small review below this post get a 5€ voucher for their next purchase or service renewal.

  • 1.000 Mb/s Up- and Downlink is very low speed. It is Megabit per second.

I fear that thousands separator caused some confusion here. Our offers are targeted to the Western European market and are thus using the dot symbol as thousands separator. Each virtual server of course has a regular Gigabit uplink; more than enough bandwidth for a large variety of applications.

(EDIT: Just replaced 1.000 Mb/s by 1 Gb/s in the initial post to avoid further confusion.)

  • Ha Ha Ha! My bad... Apology

  • Where your servers are located? Asia (India, Singapore)?

  • alwyzonalwyzon Member, Host Rep

No, I'm sorry; all our servers are located in Europe (The Netherlands).

Paypal is now available as payment option too.

Glad you like our offer and customer area. There were quite a few customisations made - especially on the onboarding process -, but it is based on the Hostbill billing software.

  • Lovely offer and billing cycle. 2x more cores as my ultravps 4gb nvme... Too bad other annual bills are just around the corner. 😅

  • @alwyzon FYI Your panel is broken via IPv6 -- You have set an AAAA record, however, the web server doesn't respond via IPv6 on that IP. For any connection which prefers IPv6 this causes your panel not to load and return a connection error.

    curl -v -6 my.alwyzon.com

    • Rebuilt URL to: my.alwyzon.com/
    • Trying 2a0d:f300:0:555::555...
    • TCP_NODELAY set
    • connect to 2a0d:f300:0:555::555 port 80 failed: Connection timed out
    • Failed to connect to my.alwyzon.com port 80: Connection timed out
    • Closing connection 0
curl: (7) Failed to connect to my.alwyzon.com port 80: Connection timed out

You either need to remove the AAAA record altogether or make the site respond on the IPv6 address you have assigned.

    Cheers!

Thank you very much for letting me know. I'll have a look at it immediately.

Edit: IPv6 connectivity of the panel should be re-established again and some appropriate monitoring specific to IPv6 have just been setup too to prevent that from happening again.

  • Looking good. Glws :)

    Gotta love IPv6
