Why I ordered another idling vm ? Fuck my life...

Well welcome to LET life! :D

Thing is, I set my standard to don't go under 512MB of RAM, even for idling. But I need to admit, the VM is deadly fast.

It seems like there is a demand for YOLO hosting at $1 per month: it works without guarantees.

So sad to see my Aruba VPS of 1€/month disappearing.

I'll move mine to DEV1-S of Scaleway and remove the IPv4 associated with the VPS so that I'll just have to pay 2€/month.

I made a tutorial here for how to still get IPv4 connectivity on the IPv6 only Scaleway VPS: https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/164967/how-to-get-ipv4-connectivity-on-an-ipv6-only-vps

    Or just create a Scaleway START1-XS instance, it's 2€/month with IPv4

I am shifting one to an UltraVPS machine that I already have.

For the other two, I'm looking for something cheap and reliable in DE (close to DUS/FRA - it is a HAProxy front-end), and something in UK.

How do you create one? I don't see the instance type START1-XS on the "create an instance" panel. Or maybe I need to use the API in order to create this type of instance?

Ok I just found how to do it. It's through the API but it's not really worth it because the performance per core is lower than DEV1-S and the product is deprecated.

Currently seriously considering about Hetzner cloud. Couldn't find any decent provider with 1+GB memory, KVM, 20gb'ish drive and 1tb+ bw / month with similar price range (I can pay quarterly or annually). Also, topping up the account balance or expiration date is a plus for me. I know, I'm possibly asking for too much, but these are my needs sadly. I run sone NodeJS tools to notify me, some web pages and a personal VPN and SOCKS proxy, nothing illegal or sneaky.

@vserversite has one BlackFRIDAY - KVM Mini (1 vCPU, 1GB RAM, 5GB SSD, 1 TB Traffic, Frankfurt) left in stock.

Get it while it's hot: https://vserver.site/de/boerse.html

  • Looks like even at EUR 2.79 the Aruba deal is still quite good. But with Netcup you can save a whoppy EUR 0.10 and get 2Gb RAM

    https://www.netcup.de/vserver/vps.php

    I might try that offer.

Other question, since I just topped up Aruba, do they do refunds?

Thanks! I signed up for one, replacing Aruba VPS in FRA. Light usage, so I think you will be happy with me.

    First impressions:

    1. You can not buy any service directly, you need to top-up with at least €5
    2. You can not buy any service after top-up. The website gives 404 error (see image below).
    3. Their panel is full of errors, from the redirected page after Paypal credit purchase, to Transactions Overview and Invoice Overview.
    4. There is no Haendler.it website (not even answering to pings).

This is likely just another summer host. It smells from a mile away.

Not sure what's wrong with their panel, but they've been around for quite some time and I had a good experience with them so far.

The Diamond Panel is still work in progress and at the moment a large part of the functions is still missing.

Our Infrastrukture is stable since we are in business since 2013, but the panel is the main reason for us to sell on such a low price.
We will market the offers in the future via kts24.com, but it is currently more important to improve the administration panel.
