New Bootstrap 3 Skin/framework released!

Hi!

As topic says, we have been recently working with a small project, a front end framework[a skin for now] for Bootstrap 3. https://framework.aalayer.com/

It is heavily customized, yet we're still working on it to bring some new features on top of Bootstrap 3. Plus many skins customization for it aswell. You can totally replace this on top of your Bootstrap's 3 project files, and it will work buggy-less.

https://framework.aalayer.com/documentation.html here is the documentation

You can also change the style of this 'framework' from day theme to night theme by just adding a class to body tag like , the entire project will be dark-theme-based. A few examples: https://framework.aalayer.com/examples.html

License is exactly as Bootstrap's 3 MIT License. No restrictions on anything.

I've uploaded it on github too: https://github.com/aalayer/aa.css

We tend to work on this in the upcoming months, as we do use this for our own custom theme development, so cool stuff coming! For anything do let me know : ) !

If you experiment around with this, do let me know through PM! Very happy to see!

    Very nice! Just curious, why your choice was Bootstrap 3 instead of 4?

    Edit: nevermind, have just opened a 'documentation' link and found the answer : ) IMO v4 has far less issues than v3

    "Totally redesigned"

    Really? Is it a front-end or modified to add features?

    Thanks mate!

    I can say the opposite, v4 is more buggy and i wouldn't even consider it a stable version. Not to mention it will no longer get update, every new work will be pushed to v5. Maybe that one will be the real deal.

    Not sure why you say that. I've been using Bootstrap Sass without problems for a long time.

    No it's not. Though we'll add that in future updates.

    I've created it in pastebin[cloudflare wasnt letting me post it here for some reason]: https://pastebin.com/YkHAMQ6h

    You're set after this, though this will not be saved in any localstorage and visitors need to check this on every page to get their dark theme. No sessions or whatsoever.

    got it, so there is the class "night" which toggles the dark and the light theme.

    Yes correct, the class "night" in body tag is the one which triggers the night mode in the framework.

    @armandorg one thing I did notice, on your documentation about the radios/checkbox.

    Your radio code needs to be changed.

    <label class="radioc">One
        <input type="checkbox">
        <span class="checkmark"></span>
    </label>

    <label class="radioc">Two
        <input type="checkbox">
        <span class="checkmark"></span>
    </label>

    <label class="radioc">Three
        <input type="checkbox">
        <span class="checkmark"></span>
    </label>

    It should be radio and not checkbox :)

    I just spent the last few minutes wondering why it was ticking and not being radio haha.

    Same - honestly, this, while certainly some work, is going against all semblance of best practice and DRY and all that. On top of it, intentionally using outdated software with crap reason for doing so.
