Recommend something to run xTream UI on? Max 50 users

Hi,
I'm looking to run xTream UI on a VPS. I will gave a maximum of 50 users connecting at 1 time.

Will need:
1Gbps line
3TB of bandwidth
Processing power wise...I'm not sure how much it uses however I don't think it is much at all... the machine is simply making a few m3u links from an RTMP stream.

Many thanks,

depends on ur stream Kbps and if ur encoding or just restreaming/relaying the source.

1Gbps port will easily run 120-240 users with 720p stream at aprox ~3000 Kbps with much leftover bandwidth.

if ur transcoding, well good luck.. 2-4 stream transcodes is max for dual E5-2620v1 depending if its 1080p or 720p some weak E3 might only handle 1 encode at time.

3TB should be enough for max 5 "games" per month for 50 users at 1Gbps at decent bitrates.

it also matters which version ur using.. r23 is most optimal, but you gotta "donate" for it.

mpegts vs hls also matters on bandwidth.

So basically ur actual server upload speed will be the only deciding factor, as you dont need to re-encode anything unless you really want to.

This is kind of wrong place to ask such questions though lol. They have their own forums and discord for these questions.

On top of that its highly illegal to stream "games". dmca ignore wont save your ass if you show major sports events to 50+ randoms.. or even worse, customers in which case its a copyright conspiracy/laundering case.

It is a friends and family thing for when there are things they want to watch that aren't on TV. Seems a 1Gbps machine would be best! No encoding required. Simply distributing the stream.

    Thanks for the response!!
