rclone copy files between two dirs of the same destination remote

if I implement this command:
rclone copy remote:a remote:b

just copy files between two dirs of the same destination remote (my gdrive).
under this case the copy operation happens on remote, the files won't be fetched back local.

Am I right? thank you.

It's called "Server Side Copy" and it's supported on Google Drive according to Rclone's optional feature list.
