Looking for cheap VPS/dedicated servers in Japan with 10TB bandwidth

Title says it all. Budget is around 80-100$. Bandwidth is the problem.

10TB bandwidth for $100, no sir.

  • Linode does JP, 8TB for $80, bw pooling

  • Cloudean: 2 vCore, 5GB RAM, 30GB SSD and 10TB BW at like, 44 USD.

What does pooling stand for? Sorry for stupid quesitons.

Still living in the old times where there was no Linode or Vultr JP.

With Vultr though you gotta be a bit creative, getting 5x $10 derplets nets you 10 TB of bandwidth for $50 -- but I don't think they have bandwidth pooling, so you will have to distribute the load somehow across all 5.

It means if you got 10 VPS with 1TB bw each, could you use all 10TB bw from one VPS (and zero on others), while not paying extra. Or does it have to be used by 1TB from each VPS and no other way.

This is awesome. Thanks a lot!

  • thats mean for jav right?

  • Check m247 resellers, such as onevps or digital-vm.

Their Tokyo location offers unlimited bw on 10gbps port at an extremely low price ($13 minimum).

Do you have a network speedtest on their Jp network? Want to see how well its connected. Thats definitely an awesome price.

10TB BW, sure, but what is the uplink at? 10Mbps? 100Mbps? 1Gbps?

At 10 Mbit you can only transfer 3 TB per month each way. The rest, I don't think it matters much, Japan is not China where they are bent on mostly providing unmetered bandwidth at low fixed Mbps values like 3-5-10 Mbit, in Japan you get your Gbit easily, just expect that it will be metered by TB. Both Linode and Vultr mentioned above provide Gbit or more, in case of Linode it's even up to 40 Gbit incoming, and multiple Gbit outgoing.

Tested with onevps cheapest plan, only 1gbps port provided. Their network looks crowded, which is also the inevitable consequence of providing unmetered bandwidth at this price.

If you are still interested, consider digital-vm.

I actually got a US VM from them, and the speed was at first limited. I talked to some guy on live chat, and he removed the speed cap for me, giving almost full gigabit. Perhaps ask them the same, so they can lift the speed cap for you as well.

Perhaps try Psychz, a bit low for their Tokyo dedi's but perhaps VPS.

Bandwidth wise it's not impossible to get 10TB on a decent network in that price range, it just doesn't leave a huge amount for hardware.

You are right, their support desk acknowledges that an automatic speed limiter was set.
Now I can get about ~800mbps results from ookla, which was 100mbps before.
