    • That's probably the same speedtest-cli bug as mentioned here: https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3065318/#Comment_3065318

    • Disable BBR and use offical app.

    • Now the speeds are showing correct :) thanks !

    • Wow significant difference in speedtest-cli versus official speedtest in cli mode

    • post a YABS please? to see finland speeds

relentless collector of highest clocked, highest performing KVM/NVMe/Gbit VPSes at the most competitive rates. just to hard idle them. zero knowledge on coding/programming; a mere hobbyist.

Yep, the dev of speedtest-cli on github didn't want to fix it. So speedtest built their own. Which now works.

This is the iperf section of YABS on one of my Finland EX42's. Note this is a fully configured server and not a fresh box, so other things may have been using the network during the test.

I get the same sort of figures on a second EX42 also in Finland. Both report 1000Mb/s full duplex...

For the record, the machines are Debian Buster with Proxmox installed and running a few VM's each.

Got it; just a wild guess, pity it’s not the s tusk cause as it would be easily fixable.

I guess the only option is to leave it with their support.

No such thing as half duplex or a bad duplex setting on a gigabit nic. 1000 base-t is auto nego only.

      https://minikvm.com for € 16/yr VPS. Add 100GB SATA storage for only € 8 / year!

    • Not sure what NIC you have but this helped on my Hetzner server with the Intel I219-LM along with BBR.

Now does that stick over a reboot, or do I need to do it at boot?

      Also, BBR?

    • At each boot - unless someone knows how to keep it permanent?

Enable TCP BBR : Just give it quick google :)
