    Didn't use any of those personally, just something for you to look at if you have no idea about servers in Argentinia ( = basically Buenos Aires)

  • thanks a lot my friend

  • https://www.wnpower.com/

    The best provider in Argentina. I've tried a lot of them.

    I sent support ticket to wnpower as I couldn't find bandwidth provided, but never received a response.

    Is it Spanish only?

    Unlimited transfer doesn't matter so much in Argentina, rather, whether you are getting something with, say, 1Mbps vs a more 'normal' 10Mbps (normal for Argentina, rather).

    ed: I also noticed that the servers on Oneprovider are via Baehost .. but going through Baehost direct requires some bizarre registration with LACNIC;

    In addition, due to the current legal provisions, it is essential to use IP addresses. Please complete the registration of LACNIC (entity that assigns Internet addresses) at https://lacnic.net/cgi-bin/lacnic/idmng

    I have had servers in Uruguay & Brazil and never had to do this. Anyone know what's up w/ that?

    This is equivalent to SWIP isn't it?

    Yeah. I dunno why I'd have to sign up with it, since they'd have all my billing info (why wouldn't host do this if required?), but, w/e. I decided to go ahead and sign up there & also submitted driver's license like it required (for this 12 day free trial offer, at least).

    It does state on sales page that new servers will only be put up during business hours, so only gave them about 30 minutes on Friday, but all day today and zero response, so probably just going to try G2K Hosting.

    I couldn't find info on wnpower bandwidth (the unlimited traffic is not rly useful info for any VPS or dedicated server in Argentina) so mailed about that and was told it was 3Mbps but 'no technical availability of Cloud VPS in Buenos Aires'.

    I found a few other hosting places in Argentina via https://www.datacentermap.com/argentina/buenos-aires/ but didn't find any particularly promising.

    I guess Ipxon is a possibility if things don't work out with g2k. It costs quite a bit more but also has the 10Mbps.

    I didn't ask for one, but I'd guess that, say, 190.210.176.1 would work, yeah.

    The one I was given for Baehost (via oneprovider, Baehost has never responded to a single email or ticket from me) was 131.255.4.1.

    Ipxon allows you to choose Cordoba instead of Buenos Aires, but from geography I gotta imagine that routes through Buenos Aires. Can't imagine there are many hubs there, probably even within Argentina most (or all?) stuff would route thru Buenos Aires, esp considering this awful bandwidth situation, which is even worse than most countries in Africa
