  • I'm inexperienced with (paid) VPN products. What kind of throughput do you guys get on these?

  • Did anyone knows if FastestVPN client have enabled streaming servers like Ivacy? I got Ivacy offer, but noticed FastestVPN have a 10 connections option that shall be enough to cover all of my devices.

  • Hey guys,
don't go with FastestVPN, the service is not worth it.

I have a lifetime subscription with 1 device and there are major problems with the VPN connections as it will time out after 30-60 minutes and the connection will be not usable.

I found out when I was downloading a large file, went out to buy some groceries, and came back. Download aborted. My father in law also has the same problems, he has the same subscription.

I tried their client and OpenVPN profiles on Windows & Android, all the same. Support told me to try weaker protocols. I am disappointed with them.

I'm getting it for streaming only as download is not an issue in my country and I already have many VPSes that work great as VPN servers, Thanks though for the advice and I think a VPS from @cociu with Shadowsocks or OpenVPN will solve your problem

If you did not already purchase I can lend you my FastestVPN account to check it out. I hope the connection will not drop in the middle of the streaming.

I went with 2 NAT VPS from Gullo for my VPN needs, cheap and reliable, I love it.

Ivacy is definitly the more stable on, especially for unblocking.

  • I have been using Ivacy - SG and IN servers and they seem to be working very well. There is a lag while connecting initially but once the connection is made, there is no drop. I'm satisfied overall for this price.

I missed this good deal :( My ISP is starting to block the internet from 7PM, only downlink, uplink is working fine.

    Like 280Kb/s download on Fast.com and Speedtest.net (Oversea Severs) but for upload, it's 160 - 250Mb/s :(

You have idle vps? just install vpn and you are free to access xvideos or pornhub :))

KeepSolid is still around for $15 for anyone that missed this.

Not sure how it compares to Ivacy and FastestVPN though? Anyone know?

    EDIT:
Looks like this is just a wrapper around StackSocial - and that the code "SAVEVPN" works for multiple VPN purchases ;)

Got fastestvpn from stacksocial yesterday. It is leaking the IPv6 address and defeats the whole purpose of using a VPN. My ISP uses both IPv6 and IPv4. Fastest VPN is masking only the IPv4. I tried Fastest VPN client as well as OpenVPN client with their config files. Anybody else got this issue?

There is an offer for FastestVPN but i want ivacy more

FastestVPN is good too. From what I know FastestVPN resells VPN from Ivacy.

I think I may try their service
    Here is the offer link:
    https://stacksocial.com/sales/fastestvpn-lifetime-subscription-2-devices?skipPrompt=true

Go ahead. Odds are Fastest is reselling Ivacy and Ivacy is reselling PureVPN, or both are reselling PureVPN to that end. Ivacy's app is a bit more stable and the Ivacy browser extension is definitely better for unblocking Flix etc. but other than that Fasest is aight. I'd recommend setting up OpenVPN manually with their config files since their desktop client is kinda buggy.

Is there any more VPN lifetime deals running ?

Missed out the Ivacy 16 USD VPN

  • Does Ivacy work with Netflix? Having trouble getting FastestVPN to work.

ivacyvpn... broke my openvpn (which works with 3 other vpn providers).

    i kinda regretted buying it.

as their website is broken in so many places (both before and after logging in) i couldn't find where to get their ovpn profiles, so i grudgingly installed their app.

their app doesn't play well with openvpn (and doesn't work with video streaming sites). had to uninstall it and then reinstall openvpn...

more poking around and it turns out they actually have 2 apps. no clue what the other does.

finally i tried to use their browser extension for netflix and prime... doesn't work for either (endlessly looking for tunnel).

their support was similarly unhelpful - but at least i got a (useless) response to my question!

you ain't missing anything - go with windscribe or some other provider that is not ivacyvpn.

Most VPN Providers only mask IPv4. I have IPv6 disabled in my network adapter settings by default. Some VPN Providers offer IPv6 masking but these are few. Most will just disable IPv6 to avoid leaking.

It does work with Netflix. FastestVPN doesn't work "stable" with Netflix. Sometimes it does. Ivacy works with Netflix US without a problem for me :)

Sorry that you aren't satisfied. It has worked on PC (Browser extension) and Mobile on my end.
The problem with OpenVPN and Ivacy you describe is due to Ivacy client installing a different TAP driver. It can (but not always does lead to problems in compatability). I use Ivacy Chrome Extension 90% of the time and unblocking works for me without a problem. Sometimes there are connection/login problems where it says "Try again later, servers are busy" but that's sorta a bug. Re-installing the Extension usually fixes it for me. The Ivacy Desktop Client is most times a hit or miss. Some days it works great, sometimes it's buggy. Anyway, as I said I use the browser extension most of the time.

Here's how you can attempt to fix your OpenVPN problem:
Go to deviemgmt and uinistall all the VPN Network drivers (PPTP, L2TP...) and uninstall Ivacy and OpenVPN. Re-install Ivacy. Re-install OpenVPN. Now it should work. Unblocking streaming services with Ivacy via OpenVPN does not work always iirc. The best way to achieve that is still the browser extension or app.

You can get Ivacy for 30$ 5 years. If there are any new deals on (other) VPNs I'll surely post them again ;)

Right now I only know that coupon "HAPPYHOLIDAYS" works for 15% off. But this is a "meh" discount imho :D

  • That coupon still works? Nice :D Thanks for posting, a friend of mine was still looking to buy :P
