Catalyst Is Back with Unmetered VPS Offers for Black Friday!
You might remember Catalyst, as it has been around since 2012. Catalyst was founded by Ryan Arp and Jarland Donnell, with the goal of being honest and transparent in the industry. It's so easy to hide behind a fake image of "professionalism" and forget that your customers are real people with real dreams that they want to see accomplished by using your product. That's what led Catalyst to take the human approach to hosting.
In the years that Catalyst has been quiet, the brand has been increasingly known for offering high bandwidth allocations and reasonably priced, highly reliable servers. After all this time, I'm bringing a new list of offers for you guys, for this Black Friday! They may not be the bottom of the barrel on price, but I think you'll find them to be above average on consistent quality.
Before the offers, let me get to the BLACK FRIDAY part of the offer, the part that elevates the offers from awesome to amazing:
All servers $5/m or above, purchased between now and the end of Monday (Dec 2, US/Central timezone), will be upgraded to UNMETERED BANDWIDTH! The upgrade will be applied within 48 hours after the order. All YEARLY SERVERS can be upgraded to UNMETERED BANDWIDTH for $12/year.
Offers (OpenVZ 7)
Here's a bench.sh run from a system you would be provisioned on:

I got one @ryanarp thank you!!!!
Just dropping by to say that the network on these servers is the fastest and most stable that I have ever encountered. I've been on their Seattle node for a few months now without incident.
For extreme network consistency this is your best bet... nothing in Seattle really compares in that regard. Seriously. The value here is unreal.
Thanks for the kind words, we work really hard to maintain a stable network and keep everything solid.
can you tell more from ddos protection? How good ddos protection? I have gaming server and thinking add GRE tunnel from my server to your server ITS possible? blocks l7? L4? Custom udp flood?
WOW, this is a great service, i had a vps back in 2013, i was very green, i had no ideal how to use the KVM, Catalyst help (hand hold) me out a lot, never asked for a extra penny for the extra service.
just logged in, my account still works!
It's possible to upgrade for a big plan in future keeping unmetered bandwidth?
You should explicitly indicate that your signature is a referral link
Is this a vps?
I have not had much experience with it, as well we normally don't get attacks. When an attack is detected, the IP is routed behind mitigation. This mitigation filters many common attacks and allows clients to continue to use their server normally.
Sure, we don't take it away if you order it and upgrade.
Yes, this is an OpenVZ 7 VPS.
We have been around for a while because we keep our services stable and help take care of customers Thanks for the kind words.
I don't know what I'll use it for, but I had to snag one while I could. Catalyst goes above and beyond, and that's not even including the free chicken.
(Mildly related: I remember the last time I got a Catalyst VPS with unmetered bandwidth!)
Chicken is always good! If you ever make it to Dallas, shoot me a message.
I got my server don't forget my UNMETERED BANDWIDTH
is Jarland Donnell still into catalyst?
I left when I signed a noncompete with hostgator in 2013. But me and Ryan are basically family so if anything happened to him I'd look out for Catalyst, and vice versa with me and MXroute.
I never forget It will be added tonight.
thanks

Those are good numbers.
will docker work on your vps's
We can certainly enable support for it. To my knowledge it’s supported the same as in OpenVZ6
