VirMach KVM VPS - $ 10 / year
around 4k Geek Bench 4 - https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/14937885
I once had a girl take me out for steaks, pay for the alcohol, and still get my knob polished.
2 TB of free owncloud space from TransIP. The company still exists and doesnt force me to login every X days to keep it. Perfect.
TransIP is actually the biggest hosting provider in the BeNeLux (Belgium/Netherlands/Luxembourg). They won’t go away any time soon
Is your instance running on an old owncloud version (mine appears to be)?
I'm curious to know how long they'll keep the free plan going. Great deal, indeed.
Where did you get that kind of deal?
@xuhaibkhan that was an one-time-deal from a small provider
Netcup RS2000 for 10.99 €/Monthly
4x Dedicated Core
480GB SAS RAID10
Gbits (80TB Traffic)
That kind of deal is the best: no unsustainable CC stuff, no oversold node filled with 'special plans' that are only 'special' in name but just cheap oversold junk. If the provider is solid, such a deal is a keeper!
The Beast.
Frosty Knickers
The few Virmach SSD4G’s I have at $0.00 per month from Black Friday a few years back
Probably this one from Databasebydesign:
Intel Xeon E3-1270
16GB DDR3 ECC Memory
240GB SSD
1Gbps Port
20TB Bandwidth
Dedicated IPMI
Monthly Billing:
$17.76/mo
2gb RAM/ 3vCPU/ 50gb ssd.
OpenVZ for $11.90/yr (virmach)
But I couldn't use it for hosting anything as network speed was ~60-100kb/s.
Where did you get that?
I also have 2 cores 4GB RAM Windows vps from Virmach but KVM for 25 bucks
Randomly hidden on one chracter as a link in a Virmach response
4vcpu - kvm
4gb ram
90gb ssd
5tb @ 1gbit
$40/yearly
Damn, that deal is so sweet. Wonder if they'll do it again.
All for a princely sum 0f $19/mo.
According to my search on WHT, they did it once every few years.
1 TB from TransIP/Stackstorage, maybe since 2015 for free...
And a Keybase airdrop per month for 20 months.
