Leapswitch - IPv6 available now in Pune, India

leapswitchleapswitch Patron Provider, Veteran

Dear LET members and clients,

I am pleased to announce that IPv6 is now available in our Pune location and all clients get it for free.

This is pure IPv6, no tunnel/proxy/nat etc.

Assignments start from Nov 11th onwards. Till 20th November, please open a ticket to get IPv6 added to your VPS/Dedicated server. After that date, we will automatically add IPv6 to new orders.

Thank you for your patience while we got this up and running.

Ishan

  • Congrats! How many IPs per VPS?

  • Test ip?

  • Nice, but no ISP here has native IPv6

  • @leapswitch Do know any 3G ISPs in India who offer native IPv6? I have a BSNL Dataone and a Idea 3G, none of whom (to my knowledge) offer IPv6 support.

All of them have IPv6 but not for home/office connections. This should change next year.

    Vodafone has IPv6, I think.

It should be noted that Singlehomed Tata does currently not provide a full IPv6 table, they are missing quite a lot (and so does Cogent)

  • @leapswitch Unfortunately, in Kerala, Vodafone provides 3G via Idea through roaming. And since Idea has no 3G.. :(

Not sure what's your point, on IPv6 they are Tata+NTT.

  • congrats! i will be requesting 1 today.

  • Too bad, I've cancelled it before 7 days, ping response is fast from Indonesia, but disk is very slow. Cancel it also because no IPv6 yet, and now it's available, :|

Your IPv6 seems to be down, both the test-ip 2001:df2:1000::1 and Prometeus'es 2a00:dcc7:1aff:2405::4f7d:29ab are not accessible.

Yes I get alerts the network is going up and down :(

    Hi,
TATA had a small routing issue at 4:30 PM IST, for about 2-3 minutes(2:30 hours before your post) , but everything has been fine since then. Are you still facing this issue ?

Update - It seems they are indeed facing issues with IPv6. I am in contact with them and will update you shortly.

  • @leapswitch yes, seems still broken:

Yes. Our BGP Session with them is up but we are not receiving any routes. They are checking it on their end and will revert shortly.

    Hello,
TATA has resolved this permanently. We should not see any further up/down issues with IPv6.

yep, and your point was... what?

Trust me, if i post it is/was singlehomed TATA then it is/was and i verified that.

  • 2001:df2:2000::1 is still not up for me.

William said: yep, and your point was... what?

My point was that they should not be missing any routes, since according to bgp.he.net and to my own traceroutes there is also some transit from NTT. But looking closer now, it seems that it's the Tata's smaller AS4755 that is multihomed, not LS themselves. http://bgp.he.net/AS132335#_graph6
