Well, I kind of have mixed feelings about my $30/yr special from BF2018.
After several unexpected reboots over the last 10 Mos that left my kvm at the luks unlock prompt, I gave up on the idea of FDE boot and re-installed without LUKS on the nvme (eventually setup a /etc/crypttab to mount LUKS crypted ceph with plaintext luks key)

It's still idling because any storage related application I have, has poor download speeds to India.

Or maybe I'm just butt hurt about being excluded from this 3TB offer. Lol

How are you excluded? I just realized you may have been excluded on account of being in China..

TBH the rebooting is a concern, I do recall that from my last experience, but I've come to accept reboots as an out-of-my-control factor of hosting, and it helps me sleep at night if I imagine they are security updates that required the host to reboot ;)

    Obviously, production lives elsewhere.

It's for new customers only right @key900?
I can't afford both this and the $30/yr special if I am allowed to order. 🙄

Thanks but the problem is that I don't have this button as shown on the tutorial.

This means you haven’t selected the Block Storage no need for ticket just following

    https://my.letbox.com/index.php?rp=/knowledgebase/34/How-to-UpgradeorDowngrade-the-configurable-options.html

Select the Block Storage and go it’s free charge.

Not only for new customers! When he says "new orders only" that means you can't ask to swap your current service to this new one. You can buy this, and then just cancel your old one when it's finished.

    It is :)

  • I just cancelled one of my plans with another host, a 1TB storage VPS for 90 USD/year, I think I will try this one.

  • So I signed up via the link and made and account an paid and all, but my Dashboard says I haven't order anything. Does that mean there are no more? Or is it just getting processed?

They have a backlog of orders that they are working through, so your order may take some time to be processed.

Do you have paid invoice? Your dashboard wouldn't say anything until service is provision. You can check your instances under "services", will be shown as pending.

  • @mrclown Thank you for the tip on where to look, I had paid, and there is indeed a
    red "pending" note under Status.

Seems my order is still pending (no rush)... but I realized that I did not select the 3tb disk during order setup by error. So when its provisioned will i still be able to add that 3tb disk as a part of upgrade/ downgrade configuration? Thnx

    LookingGlass at 1Gbps port only.

I mean you really good because of speed. Tested it from my home server with internet connection of 110 Mbit/s / 50 Mbit/s. And got 10MB this is really good.

Yes, you can add it through the panel by going to upgrade/downgrade and then select the free 3tb storage.

What are you going on about?? There is absolutely nothing in the OP about how the order appears in the dashboard. Maybe you thought I was confused about the date the orders would be processed?? This time how about you read... my question was about the status of my order. For most the other VPSs I've ordered with other companies the status of an order appears in one place in the dashboard, sometimes called Services, sometimes Servers, but it will tell you if the service was ordered, if it was paid, it if is being processed, etc.,. When I placed my order this time nothing appeared in the dashboard, but there was a note of the order being Pending in different section. At least @mrclown had the ability to understand my question and the decency to give an answer.

This is a killer deal, but I travel to Europe often... need something on the East Coast. Pings to NY are ~120ms, to LETbox in LA is ~195ms from where I sit.
