speedykvm and serverica have some cheap storage plans I have used before but slightly above your budget $10/month

One more option to consider for temporary storage is Lunanode block storage - it's billed hourly so can be most useful if you need something right away until you get a longer term storage provisioned. (Would come out to $30 per TB if you kept it for a whole month though ...) Also it's resizable so can grow and shrink as necessary. It has come in very handy for me sometimes in a pinch.
