[FIXED]MXROUTE website and mail server domain resolved to 127.0.0.1
Looks like they have fixed the issue, can get correct dns record now.
==============UPSIDE UPDATE=============
Hey guys,
I just transfer all my mail service to MXROUTE (100 bucks lifetime offer),
Seems like their domain all resolved to 127.0.0.1(mxroute.com & server.mxlogin.com)
I dig from multiple location but shows the same result.
Anybody meet the same issue here ?
A little worry about this situation...

Not from here, looks all good ?
down here... Chennai, India on (Airtel/Jio)
Yeah, resolves to 127.0.0.1 for me too.
Depending on dns, some resolves mxroute services to 127.0.0.1. Some other correctly resolve to the right server, though. Not sure what's going on
I dont want to trigger the fake alarm, but I double check the dig result from my local and BuyVM Las and I need to say some shit happened.
Hostballs and all of MXRoute do resolve to 127.0.0.1 atm, yeah.
The actual server IPs work fine and they're online.
It's something on ClouDNS' end with mxroute.
Yep, my phone still can sync the mails (with dns cache), but I cant login through browser.
And the mails may not be delivered after cache flush
Same here from indonesia
You won't lose any mail. Mail servers resend at increasing time intervals.
Unless it is down for more than two days, you'll get all your emails delivered to you eventually.
Not saying that this is great, but there is that.
Well, 2 days the emails system delivering time still can beat USPS
just in case this might be news for @jar @qps
ClouDNS's system does this when a bill is left unpaid. Potentially missed a bill?
Yup - not working. Noticed about 30 minutes ago (9:00 CET).
Strange, let's just wait until @jar wakes up as its 3:37 AM in the US right now.
mine working but its cache most probably bcos ping shows its down
Aaaand it's fixed. Jar is w o k e
@Jar
MXroute seems down across the board...?
Yep, seems fixed on my side
Is this sane and normal? Lifetime offers usually end in catastrophy.
I could have sworn that I took care of that beforehand but it seems that I am mistaken. An embarrassing oversight, but such is reality.
I'm very sorry for the trouble, the underlying problem now being resolved only DNS caches that updated need time to refresh.
Woke Trump memes.
What could possibly go wrong.
Francisco
Well it's sane or normal depends on how long @jar can keep running their service,
Only problem is seems that choose 100 bucks lifetime still not as good as choose 100GB 30 bucks/3 yrs plan (in about 10 years cause lifetime offer only have 10GB)
ClouDNS now set to auto-renew. Hopefully someone learns a lesson from my failure, you cannot handle it all yourself without automation. Unless you're better than I.
I definitely did the same thing with CloudNS a few months back...
Not sure why I'm tagged here. MXroute is a customer of QuickPacket, but we don't manage their services.
Who cares, I am not involved at all and am still here to party that everything's alright. Have a drink, sit down, enjoy!
