George Datacenter Review

I didn't see anyone talk about this company yet so I thought I'd throw my two cents in on George Datacenter @georgedatacenter
https://www.georgedatacenter.com/

I recently purchased a special there for $10/month that I saw on wht.

INTEL XEON E5-2670
02 Dedicated Core
1TB Bandwidth
1Gigabit Port
10GB Ram
40GB SSD
01 IPV4
XEN VIRTUALIZATION

This seemed like a too good to be true deal but I jumped on it anyway. Activation was not instant and took about 12 hours or so (I did purchase on a Sunday though, if it was a weekday I'm sure it would have been faster). At that point I recieved an email with details as well as a panel to reload my os and do other stuff (it's not solusvm but it does all the same stuff).

Speeds have been great so far and I haven't had any issues using 100% of my resources for as long as I need too. I haven't had any random reboots or anything from the host node or detecting any overloading either. I did even have an issue where I had to send in a ticket and within an hour I had a response with it being fixed. I am very happy so far with George Datacenter and I hope I continue having a great experience for a long time.

Thanks!

Here's a quick speedtest on the vps too

Yeah, I noticed that too. Not sure why it's that slow.

  • I just wanted to update this post and say the provider reached out to me about the disk speed. They said they were concerned and looked into it and fixed it. I reran the benchmark and am getting well over double what I was before. So all is well now :)
