Moving away from cPanel to centospanel or a future version of Webuzo?
Due to cPanel price increase, the market is now wide open for other website control panels. I really like webuzo but for some reason, they will not allow reselling of hosting which is quite weird. Softaculous could easily provide a solid web panel easy to use admin and user end.
Can anyone who knows someone at Softaculous get any feedback on where webuzo panel is going now cPanel is not an option for 90% of small business globally.
The most viable options right now are:
Centos panel (free whmcs module available)
VestaCp
DirectAdmin?
Right now after research and using a few panels testing them out CentosWebPanel seems to be the most logical option though maybe i am wrong i just wish webuzo had more options and migrating to webuzo with a username longer than 8 charachters is an issue. I will be using webuzo for my sites and for customers i think centospanel due to whmcs module and good API options.

Webuzo is kinda buggy. I used it for a few years before deciding that sudo apt works way better and haven't looked back
Ispconfig
It is lightweight and easy to use for end users, i would say it has the best end-user GUI though it can be buggy especially cPanel migration character limit and no option of selling hosting automated.
Softaculous have the manpower and skills to make it an amazing panel but for some reason, they won't offer features available in other free website control panels.
https://cyberpanel.net/
if you're looking for something free.
If not, ISP or Plesk.
Both much worst then cPanel, but what to do...
Webuzo is from the same company as Virtualizor.
I hope it's not the same trash.
It's the same trash.
cyberpanel has been great , but don't know how it fares for commercial use
If you go for centos panel then you putting your customers at risk. The panel has not have a proper audit done on it. Sorry the issues that was pointed out in 2018 were mind blowing about how bad the panel is poorly written. I doubt they even have a clue about security because some the issues pointed out is just a big no no.
I see, i was just about to install centoswebpanel! So what free panel should be used if centospanel is no good right now? Vesacp?
I use virtualizor it is a very good panel no issues and good support. A shame webuzo does not have more features like cPanel.
Is the new centospanel update since https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/43850 happened patched now and it is now safe?
ISPConfig
https://www.ispconfig.org/add-ons/ interesting, so this is free and very secure? This may be the best thing besides cPanel.
Free whmcs module too: https://marketplace.whmcs.com/product/2214
ISPConfig is 100% free and open source. It's been around gor ages and stable at that. It has an own included apps installer for some basic apps like WordPress, supports multiserver setup and VPS (ovz).Forum support is good and devs answer. You can pay for priority forum support, downloading .iso/images of pre-built ISPConfig setups, ISPConfig Manuals, no ads in the forum and downloading all HowToForge Tutorials as PDF..none of this is mandatory but in case you want to support development.
It's like 25€/6months.

You can also get the subscription for free when you write tutorials for HowToForge:

Free Blesta Module too

What do you prefer which one ISPconfig or https://www.hestiacp.com/ or maybe you have not tried hestiacp?
Hestia is similar to Vesta just more security focused. It's definitely the most simple to use of the two or even all free panels. Overall I prefer ISPConfig though.
Damm so down to 2 panels may be, i would like to make a poll or something but i don't want to be posting new threads to much here.
Poll will only have everyone voting their own preferences. Try for yourself what fits best
Will be using for customers, looks like ispconfig maybe the winner
Ispconfig migrate from cPanel tools or manual only?

@websitehostingvps I still wouldn't touch it until they have a audit and say they have. It is hard to fix security issues when they don't have clue.
Use command line for personal/private project (not commercial)
try this one

I've been using webuzo over a year now, its not 100% trash but it does has its fair share of uselessness. Great for wordpress though.
It is my favourite website panel just no options for selling hosting automated sadly, otherwise, it is a great panel.

At WHT Patric from Rack911 asked which free panel community whats him to revue so I answered that
I do not plan to use CWP but we got to have an solution for providers/ webdesigners that host their customers on vps setupped as hosting (to get more power than from reseller accoun) but are on a budget
About webuzo I had a client with an vps which run it for an year the main issue that it was a bit buggy om some operations but mostly works and config files are on super strange places
It is... refer howtoforge for a tutorial
