Google Chrome Security Extension Marks All LET Sites as 'Suspicious'

If your site is not a Top 5K site (which I suppose godaddy and 1 or 2 more web hosts are below 5000 rank) then Google Chrome security extension WILL mark your site as 'Suspicious'.

Here's is the screenshot as an example site I didn't visited in past 3 month or beyond that period. (You can either enter any site which you've not visited in last 3 months, and empty the browser cookies too, also sign-out of google account)

Here's the original blogpost: https://searchenginejournal.com/chrome-security-false-positives/312993/

P.S. Even Mozilla, and Google's own blog.chromium.org site is marked as 'suspicious'.

Only some newspaper/TV-channel sites, a few e-commerce sites and bit of porn sites are within top 5K range!

How legit is this if rest of the peoples' sites are not BRAND sites within Top 5K most visited sites on the planet and ALL ARE MARKED 'suspicious'?

It will certainly affect sales? (If I stumbleupon a web host provider from google search, will I ever land on their site???, forget about purchase and seeing the VPS offers!)

Will google revert this non-sense and a bias to only top 5K sites ASAP?

Does google wants people should ONLY visit top 5K sites?

Who uses or relies on that anyway?

Use uBlock, check for ssl. To get dodgy sites you have to be looking for it.

    It's launched by Google itself.
and there are lakhs of downloads.
    Even I'm using it.

It might happen Google will install it as a default feature in Chrome. And 65% of the world will start seeing your sites as 'suspicious' - then?

    From plugin report :
    What's suspicious about this site
Site not in top 5k sites

so according to this plugin if website is not in top 5k rank its suspicious

  • And so the the dumbing down continues..

Don't really see why this is a big issue, 99.99% of chrome users don't have that extension installed.

Well, this site here is suspicious! What worries me way more is that LET isn't among the top-5k sites. We clearly need more "which is better, Chrome or Firefox?" threads. Please, attach a poll.
