Looking for 1/4 rack collocation in HK
I am looking for 1/4 rack or 1/2 rack rack mount collocation space with at least 8 ip addresses in Hong Kong with CN2 as an option. I would like to know the setup cost, monthly and power in watts.
How long does it take to provision the space if contract is signed?
Does ESXi installation also offered? How much?
Thanks!!

We have our own small facility in HK. We can do 1/4 and 1/2 rack colo, but unscheduled access is not permitted, so if you want to actually come to the DC in person, you will need to book a time in advance. Otherwise, we offer the following:
1/4 Rack
- 10U Space
- 240W (1amp@240v) Power as standard
- /29 Subnet (8 IPs, 5 usable)
- 100Mbit Unmetered Shared Bandwidth (Economy Route) as standard
Monthly Fee: HK$2,500 | US$329
1/2 Rack
- 20U Space
- 320W (3amp@240v) Power
- /29 Subnet (8 IPs, 5 usable)
- 100Mbit Unmetered Shared Bandwidth (Economy Route) as standard
Monthly Fee: HK$3,750 | US$493
Additional power available at HK$150 | US$20 per 0.25A (approx 60W) per month.
Direct CN2 is possible but it's very expensive. Indirect via HGC is about 1/3 the price of direct CN2, and is about 90% as good for 90% of the time. 10M cost about US$330 /month. Direct CN2 will run you about $1k /month for 10M.
It's best if you install IPMI capable devices that allow you to install things yourself. Remote hands is charged by the hour, with rates ranging from US$33 - 65 per hour, depending on the time of day and work schedule.
Rack space is available immediately. There is a setup fee of HK$1,000 | US$131.
Any test IP for your economic route?

Would you consider Taiwan ? We also have China Direct Route via Guangzhou or Shanghai. And also a free first month on our colocation service.
Sure can: http://hke.lg.hosthongkong.net/
So this is LG is on a small VM on a very high utilization node. It actually has worse performance due to the shared and virtualized network. For dedicated and colo servers, especially ones on private VLAN/Subnet, the performance will be better.
Not bad at all, PMed
