Hi there, I'm looking for a cheap dedicated server

budget: 20-30$
ram: at least 4 GB
storage: at least 60 GB (SSD better)
port: at least 1 Gbps (10TB)
location: europe
cpu: best possible for that price range.

the usage is a for a reverse proxy and for some scripts.

If someone have a good offer let me know, thanks.

    https://php-friends.de/vserver-ssd/vserver-fruehlingsspecial-2019-storage-ssd

    2*E5-2630 v3/v4 dedicated cores
    20GB RAM
    125GB SSD
    Germany
    9.99eur/mo (incl.VAT)

Not the most powerful, but 2 dedicated threads for this price seems quite nice. Or you could find a user to transfer the 18eur/3mo promo with less ram and SSD (which actually doesn't meet your storage requirements as it's 40GBs).

NVM. Thought you were looking for VPS. My bad.. :(

    1. go to https://en.metadedi.net/

    2. If you have other requirements like SSD, network etc, choose them from upper menu.

    3. Sort according to 5th column; "price per 1k"

    that's all.. :)

  • Did anyone mentioned... h... e... t... z... n... e... r...?

Google avoro, I'm not affiliated. But it's not dedicated, just vps.

Not a TON but a lot, but compared to Quadranet that sells you a 40$ Core2Quad har har har.

But I don't know if the CPU is good enough for your purpose.

It's not just the hardware. Hetzner's value proposition has increased a lot in the last couple years with Free DDOS scrubbers, network-level firewall. More recently: vswitch, and most recently 'unmetered' bandwidth.

It makes the total TCO low even for hobbyists.
Right now , I only have to worry about making efficient use of IPv4.

  • Something like the hetzner i7 3770 for 22-23€ would be great (vat excluded)

    Care to provide more details?

  • Why do you need so much cpu for a reverse proxy? What is at the other end of it? If you're doing a front end for a web site you probably want the reverse proxy in the same dc, if you can manage that. And at some point you probably want multiple front ends rather than pushing everything through a single dedi.

That's not just a reverse proxy, it need to filter layer 7 ddos attacks.

if layer 7 ddos is your main objective, why not try comodo cwatch?
