  • I almost asked what the tokens are, but thankfully checked out the first page and figured it out. I was also almost going to apply even though I have only 26 posts, on the off-chance that they'd accept it, but then I read someone else getting denied. All in all, I am grateful for all the reading becuase it at least led me to https://hostballs.com/, something else to start reading!

Interesting, we never had that so far.
HostBalls is also a good choice.

  • What have you never had so far? @neoon?

Was it that obvious? I've tried to not just spam comment, unless it is simply the sudden amount of commenting that makes it spam.

  • The end is nigh.

The fact that you comment only to apply make it spam.

I shall announce, that CA will be discontinued, the 6 months initially from the LET Easter Egg Hunt from SYS will come to an end and will not be extended.

CA will expire in more than 30 days, so you still have enough time to ask for a migration.

If you want to migrate, lemme know (via PM) which Location you want:

    • Fremont (US, IntroVPS)
    • Norway (EU, Terrahost)
    • Germany (EU, Hetzner)

You are free to choose as long we have stock avail, which is already low in most EU locations. Also if you do not want to keep it, please let me know, makes the life easier.

    Thanks.

  • I have one, haven't been using it so if you want to give it to someone else, that's fine with me. Thanks for letting me have it but the usual unintended idling resulted.

All of these 3 locations have no predetermined date.
Unlike CA which had it before we started deploying and everyone knew it was limited to 6 months initially.

I would like to install drone to automate my static blog (Hugo or Jekyll, still testing both) deployment.

    Thanks!

    hi @Neoon

    sorry for the trouble

but we were looking ahead in reapplying for the free vps

reason : 1. hosting repos for a foss project (prefered in multiple locations)

let me know if i may reapply

if you permit, i would go ahead and do the needfull

    thanks

No, you had a chance and lied.

not to argue, but i never lied, but if you feel so, i am sorry

    let it be...

As reminder, CA will expire in less than 2 weeks.
If you have not been migrated yet / not replied to my pm, please do that now.

Since I will start cleaning up the Node in about 10 days, if your VM is still on the node, it will be terminated by then without any prior notice.

a926c0620e2fbe6ea2eef63ad36a0da9a7432d30 Would love to try out docker on a vps with IPv6, and host websites for my friends. Also, just to confirm, can I contact you to have the vm migrated once the Tokyo location is out?

  • I just noticed in OP that VM comes with /64 IPv6 but when I do ping6 google.com then it says connect: Network is unreachable

Did you follow any necessary commands/instructions you have to execute like:

    IPv6 configuration

Debian 8 eth1, Debian 9 ens19 any other OS it may differ

    auto eth1
    iface eth1 inet6 auto

    /etc/network/interfaces shows this

    auto lo
    iface lo inet loopback

    allow-hotplug eth0
    iface eth0 inet dhcp

    auto he-ipv6
    iface he-ipv6 inet6 v4tunnel
            address 2001:XXXXXXXXXX
            netmask 64
            endpoint XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
            local XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
            ttl 255
            gateway 2001:XXXXXXXX

    EDIT

    Running [ -f /proc/net/if_inet6 ] && echo 'IPv6 OK' || echo 'No IPv6' says IPv6 OK
Running lsmod | grep -qw ipv6 && echo "IPv6 kernel driver loaded and configured." || echo "IPv6 not configured and/or driver loaded on the system." says IPv6 not configured and/or driver loaded on the system.
