As their name suggests "HostMyBytes" they'll just host your Bytes, and not Megabytes or Gigabytes. So hardly expect to install a blank WordPress blog!

Not really true. It's the classic case of going to LEB, gotten fleeced, and then coming here to complain. Haven't seen anyone who's been on LET for a while gotten scammed by the LEB charlatans. I paid a small little price and learnt from that too, with the difference being that I don't whine about it.
Due diligence is simple these days. Is it on LEB? Yes? Stay away.
EDIT: Or at least, think twice.
I'm not sure whether HostMyBytes are a CC-reseller (I don't think so), but they don't have a good reputation around here. They're not the worst, but there are plenty of complaints about them. If I recall well, there was a change of ownership of the company a few years ago, but the previous HMB weren't great either.
