I assume since you want cpanel the vps will be used to host some websites that are written in php or python etc
But can you give examples of tasks you wish the provider do ?
I assume the following is a must
1- install and configure cpanle
2- migrate your old sites
3- backup you db externally and set auto backups on the server itself
4- handle server OS updates and cpanel updates

Why not just get a vps and get someone else to manage it? I manage a bunch of servers for people who have unmanaged vps etc and depending on their needs it can work out cheaper in the long run.
