What is your choice of terminal emulator software?
I myself use Bitvise SSH client.

Can you please say what features you would have loved in the software that you are using?

No I didn't pass his test. Honestly he needs a different kind and a better programmer.

Brief: This will be based on the curses library. Today I will write up a spec and upload it to github. Anyone is welcome to work on this.

But if you're already using curses, then you've got rxvt/xterm/etc already open, or are at a text console? What're you trying to recreate, and why are you calling it an emulator? We've already got dialog, S-Lang, (n)curses to perform basic console/text/redraw compatibility functions. Are you trying to recreate tmux and screen, or what?

Yeah its not happening. But its all good.

How so. TBF it's this weeks mini LET soap opera, so it's only fair to elaborate.

    A better tmux

  • @gwnd1989

Frankly screen/tmux work just fine, no need to reinvent the wheel. What would you even be adding anyway?

Everyone thought so on Myspace until Facebook came out.

How about... contributing your enhancements to tmux repository?! That's usually how open source development works.

Oh wait, you are comparing yourself with Facebook? I'm out..

Oh F me. No I am not. I just took it as an example.
English is not my first language sorry.

I wanted to say that just like Facebook, anything can be improved.

I thought you were proficient in all languages? Why bother with a tmux clone? Surely somebody with your "above average" skills could solve a real problem, like the examples given earlier, that would benefit the community.

    What examples.. sorry...
Can you tell me something to build...

I chose this because I love curses.

  • I chose this because I love curses.

well now ... perhaps the (I'm guessing temporary) ban from LET is actually a blessing in disguise.

But let that be a lesson to those who would go up against the tmux cabal.

Even worse, some crazy bastard wrote a shell for TempleOS. Why answer a question that needs not be asked?

  • Then there's always drawterm for Plan 9 ... (blame it on rio)
