You can do it on the checkout. If not I can add it manually after you place the order, providing you open a ticket before paying.

And yes the resources are guaranteed. We have ample room and we can always add more RAM if there is a shortage.

  • 64GB of RAM on the server/3GB per client: do you really only put 21 containers on that node?

Dylan, We can upgrade as needed. At this moment in time there is no point having more than 64GB RAM per machine.

It's not like were running our VPS's on E3's w/ 32GB RAM thats got no room to grow. Were doing 1:1 - 2:1 per GB at a push on a system that is more than able to handle such resources.

  • In all actuality your going to be doing a little higher ratio than that. Sorry i don't see it 1:1 or 2:1 your going make a little profit not much or even be negative. Realistically 3:1 even 4:1 your going to make a profit. Sorry i just call it how i see it.

    Ian,
We don't just sell 3GB Machines, we have a variety of 512MBs/1GBs/2GBs so the ratio isn't anywhere near 4:! nor is it 3:1 we have enough as it is to cover the cost of the server but we still have plenty of room to grow within this machine, even without the need of overselling we can always add more RAM if it was needed.

Either way you look at it were going to be doing a 1:1 or 2:1 we don't need to oversell on a scale of 4:1 heck if i wanted to do that I'd just roll out E3's like everybody else does and oversell them happily. We looked at this and got a appropriate server which is more than worthy for such resources.

As for our website, its due an update we've been busy so that's been delayed.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

No problem I appreciate the good response!

    Thank you everyone!

  • Since it is quite a robust configuration Ubuntu Desktop should run fine and smooth on it. I will need to connect to it via VNC. Hope the experience would be fine. But please let me know whether you allow lightweight occasional short-time encoding by Handbrake if I keep the CPU usage within limit? What is the maximum allowable CPU usage percentage per core at which I can leave the VPS running 24x7? I am not going to use the VPS for any commercial or profitable purpose. Please rest assured that it would be strictly for my own personal usage whether using it as VPN, or installing and using any other script or software like Handbrake or so.

All CPU power is subject to fair share usage, if it causes problems for other customers then it will not be allowed.
