Cheapest cloud storage anywhere online
Over the past few days, I have been looking around at Storage VPS offerings, "cloud" block storage and a few other storage options from discussions seen here on this website and also doing my own google searches. Thought I'd post some of the results.
I am aware these are not identical product offerings and some have advantages over others. Really I've meant to consider several different ways to store big file archives online, for whatever purpose. So here's some data in case it helps anyone. No, I'm not affiliated with any company. Just surveying the market.
So far I have found (sorted roughly in order of highest-priced first, lowest price last):
Linode block storage
$0.10/GiB per month
https://www.linode.com/blockstorageAmazon S3
$0.023 per GB, "data transfer in" is free, "Data Transfer OUT From Amazon S3 To Internet" is $0.09 per GB
https://aws.amazon.com/s3/pricing/Hetzner cloud block storage
high-availability SSD block storage for € 0.0400 / GB per month.
https://www.hetzner.com/cloudGoogle cloud
Standard rates: $0.026/GB/month. Downloads are $0.08/GB.
"Nearline storage" $0.010/gb/month
"Coldline storage" $0.007/gb/month
https://cloud.google.com/storage/pricingLunaNode block storage
Volumes are $0.03/GB/mo
Lower end plans come with a base bandwidth allotment of 1TB/month
Extra bandwidth is charged at $0.003/mo per additional GB
https://www.lunanode.com/pricingAmazon S3 Glacier
$0.004 per GB / Month
Data retrieval "unfreezing" fee = Standard $0.01 per GB (data has to be unfrozen after storing, takes something like 4 hours unless paying an "expedite" fee)
Data Transfer OUT From Amazon Glacier To Internet is $0.09 per GB
https://aws.amazon.com/glacier/pricing/Backblaze storage
$0.005/GB/month. Downloads are $0.01/GB.
https://www.backblaze.com/b2/cloud-storage.htmlWasabi
$.0049 per GB/month w/free egress downloads
https://wasabi.com/pricing/Hetzner Storage Box (rates listed are for a 5TB plan)
.0049 (in USD) per GB/month w/unlimited bandwidth (throttled after 15 TB)
https://www.hetzner.com/storage/storage-boxBuyVM Block Storage Slabs
$1.25/month per 256GB, require a VPS "slice" to operate. Slices avail starting at $3.50/month.
Slices have 1000Mbit Unmetered Bandwidth.OVH kimsufi
$5.99/month for 500GB storage, unmetered bandwidth.
severs appear to be frequently sold-out

Some notes:
I ranked Amazon as more expensive due to high bandwidth fees for transferring files. Considering it seems like the cost would be $90 to download a terabyte of data (correct me if I'm wrong!) I was really surprised how expensive "standard" Amazon S3 rates appear to be, compared to up-and-coming alternatives.
Lunanode has a interesting option called "shelving" a VM, where you can put your VM on the "shelf" (deactivate) leaving it fully configured, while only paying for your monthly block storage at a rate of $0.03/GB/mo. Didn't see this anywhere else.
The analysis used in this post is kind of random. Sorry if it's a bit all over the board. Hope it helps in some way. I put together the data over the past couple of days so it should be accurate as of today's date.
Bottom line:
BuyVM slabs, Wasabi, OVH Kimsufi and Hetzner Storage Box (storage only, not a VPS) seem like some of the cheapest storage options out there at the moment.
I'm sure I missed many good competitive options, which is another reason for posting this summary -- to discuss and discover better options. So, please add any other good alternatives!

Thanks for compiling that list. One more contender for the cheapest:

I have been looking around for myself, at Storage VPS options. Haven't taken a close look at pricing for more than a year so it's interesting to see how the market is evolving in terms of monthly rates for block storage and so forth.
C14 does look good! .0023/GB (in USD) per month with unlimited data transfer. Going to check it out.
Thanks for letting me learn about Luna Node's 'shelving' feature. Does it reserve the ipv4 in the 'shelve' operation as well?
Was looking at that. Seems like it keeps whatever ip you had allocated from the "floating ip" pool intact for a rate of $1/IP/mo.
Here's a link to the lunanode Wiki where they discuss "shelving" -->> https://wiki.lunanode.com/index.php/Shelving
Get a KS-1 for $6 and then kill the 500GB hard drive so they upgrade you to a new 2TB one. Don't think I'll ever get rid of this thing...
Thanks for motivating me to keep my sys arm 2tb for 5.99/month forever.. not that I plan to let it go. Replacing it would be a biatch.
Well, you do not even need to kill it.
Wipe the boot sector and the technicians are just swapping it out.
Bloody rumors.
Block storage
Object Storage
Storj is interesting
Vultr offers block storage with HDD, $0.025 per GB. The price seems not listed on the public website.
Incorrect.
We are $1.25 per 256GB, so 0.0048/GB.
Francisco
.0048 is almost 0.01 so close enough, also π = 3
Not easily accessible, but since it is cloud: OneDrive.
A little over $200 for 5 years of 6TB split into 1TB per acct, which is roughly $0.55/TB/mo.
Buy 5 Microsoft 365 Personal 1-year bundles on Newegg during sales (which is now), redeem all 5 on Microsoft website to stack 5 years, then buy 1 month of Microsoft 365 Family directly on Microsoft website to convert all 5 years + 1 month to Family.
BuyVM and Backblaze are cheapest
storj = free 150gb cloud storage or have i got it wrong?
In that case of rounding up, π = 4.
many π = sugar high
many π =

why necropost?
Why do some people put their willies in horses bums?
Why ask three days later? He won't reply for another three years.
i think Hetzner Storage Box for 2.9 euro for 1 TB is pretty good deal.
Letbox 4TB = $10
= 0.0025/GB
Terabox 1TB free!
Max file limit 500
But good for hosting "linux" distro's.
