anyone know what hapepn after 5tb? unmetered 10mbit? suspended?
Gets limited to 10Mbps, nothing else. If you upgrade bandwidth to remove the limit, you cannot downgrade in the future (must purchase new server.)

The 5TB quota in SYD and SGP reset every month with 250Mbps guaranteed bandwidth (on these DO-32-APAC servers) and the quota is not transferable from a month to another if no fully used.
If you reach your 5TB during the month, we simply reduce the outgoing bandwidth to 10Mbps but we don't stop/suspend the service..
In case our unlimited plans are not suitable for your usecase, we also have other servers with 10TB traffic inclusion. (only public outgoing traffic is metered)

if i ordered in SYD is it possible to get it refunded or transfer to SGP and cancel the SYD?
SGP is much lower latency for me (SYD latency is really bad and routes through weird parts of US for some reason)

I would suggest to order right now your SGP server as stock is very low on the DO-32-APAC so you can secure one. Wait for it to be delivered (few minutes), then go to your manager and cancel your Sydney service and open a ticket with our support team for a refund on your Sydney server. I can't promess you'll get a refund as it depends how long you have been using it already, but at least you have done all the actions required for not beeing charge the following month.
Regarding the latency, if you could send us your traceroute results by completing the short form available at: http://traceroute.apac-tools.ovh that woudl be ideal so we can fix this.
