Decent providers that offer yearly discounts?

i've used ssdnodes in the past with good success and don't mind paying for a full year or more to save a bunch of money when compared to linode or digital ocean.

does anyone know of any decent providers that offer similar type of pricing and deep discounts for yearly payments such as ssdnodes or should i just stick with them?

  • Maybe VirMach special offers (aff) with 30% off first billing cycle with Buffalo location and 2 months free for yearly payment?

I know the perfect website for you if you're okay with 3-year deals from 3-month old companies.

  • Prometeus have a sale on their TeraKVM abd LPAR(dedi vCPU) kvm ranges in their NL DC. (two months free when you pay yearly)

Doesn't get more decent than a 21yo company.

if you're happy with ssdnodes and find yourself wanting to do a 3 year deal, that's probably the best option (seems like they do deals in Dallas from time to time). But you probably know that already.

(the only other three-year offers I can think of that don't scream "run away" are from incero. Probably a few others I'm forgetting but ... yeah.)

As for the yearlies, it's not unusual to see something like a 10% to 20% discount compared to monthly but I'm really not looking for too much crazy discounts beyond that on an already cut-rate offer at the low end. It's a recipe for disaster often enough to be wary when it's "too good to be true".

Assuming a service isn't overpriced to begin with ...

The steep promotional discounts (say beyond 30%) you might see during for instance Black Friday do tend to favor yearly offers from what I've observed. HostHatch comes to mind for decent service that does especially nice yearly deals but only rarely.

I could list another dozen hosts that have good yearly deals but maybe better if you do some more research yourself and try some monthly before jumping into yearly - that strategy is most likely to save you significant money and stress in the long run.

    EDIT2:

Fuck it, here's a short list of some hosts I've tried and liked enough to recommend taking a look at.

Your mileage can and will vary.

Some have better yearly discounts than others.

Monthly or yearly, sale price or whatever - they're all good values in my opinion - depending on what you're looking for.

    AlphaVPS (not Alpharacks)
    Budgetnode
BuyVM (yearly offer for smallest kvm only)
    CloudCone
    CrownCloud
    Deepnet Solutions (aka GestionDBI)
    First-Root
    Freerangecloud (proxmox ftw)
HostHatch (yearly offers during rare sales)
    InceptionHosting
    IonSwitch (good yearly prices)
    Liteservers
    SpartanHost
    SubnetLabs (aka impactVPS)
UltraVPS.eu (.eu not .com - good yearly offers)
    Vapornode
    Virmach

And plenty other decent hosts if you look around a bit. I'm leaving out for instance Lunanode and Hetzner because they don't do yearly - though you could save money with hourly billing too.
And quite a few hosts I haven't tried but have heard good things about.

(Plenty not-so-good ones too but maybe "good enough" if the price is right. I can't make that call for you though. So maybe shop around a bit if you can.)

EDIT3: Another list to be reckoned with: https://lowenddeadpool.info/

netcup offers 24€ rebate on their root servers if you take a yearly contract. Payment btw is semi-annually.
