Gmail delete my email automatically?

For some reason some emails get deleted automatically. It got sent to the inbox, few moments later, it's in the trash.

This is usually, marketing or sign up confirmation email.

Is it possible that Gmail, learning my behavior (deleting marketing / sign up confirmation email) and do it itself for me?

This is very annoying, because when I am expecting an email I need to check inbox + trash + spam.

Anyone experiencing this?

Nope, never experienced that. Scroll down and click "Details" at the far bottom right, see if you have applications authorized to access your mail. Perhaps an app is doing it behind your back.

  • Thanks. Will try that.

  • Gmail App and website does not do this. Seems you aren't using either.

  • If it goes to trash (not spam) that could also be a behavior of a filter

    Web and Gmail Android App

going to call bs on your topic. Gmail doesn't auto delete email unless you set it a filter to do so. Also android gmail app default is to archive and literally have the option to prompt confirmation for deletion.

If it's just in your trash it's still not deleted.
    Thread title is misleading trash.

It can be also someone on another computer with your account logged in who just troll you. Or as said - application.

Well, feel free to call my problem bs. It certainly not a bs problem for me.

I change the default action to delete instead of archiving. This happened for years. Checked the filters, nothing on it (only the one I specifically made, you gotta auto delete wootalpha spam).

Probably as @jar said. Some apps messing with my inbox. I have revoked some of them. One of them is unroll.me, probably it was its doing.

And I have reasonably long password.
