I got the same offer in LA for BF but the block storage has I/O capped at 100 mbps (iirc). Is this different, and if so can we migrate from LA to Dallas? That would be cool.

yes of course, every time when they will come with better offer then they will happy re-allocate all existing customer w previous (older) services (in previous location) to they new (better) location (and especially at these prices)
BTW: great reason 256 GB triple replicated storage w "only" 100MB/s IO with 20 NVMe and
2GB RAM KVM for 30 annually, to be still unsatisfied and want still more from them..

My LETBox LA server is the least-performing node in my DB cluster due to the I/O. I'm getting better performance from $20/yr nodes. I'm currently planning to drop it after the 12 month term. Trying to salvage a supplier relationship.

Where did you run your database? Block storage disk or nvme?
DB has to run on block storage due to size (hundreds of GB). Log files, cache, etc. are on NVMe.
We will do however we still need to do maintenance to make it happens so the other people who happy with the performance will be no happy anymore to take them down but we will keep this in our mind in future maintenance.
Block sotrage are network attached and it come with NVMe cached as well with 3 copy of your data does your $20y have that? Makes your data in save? At 3 nodes? The Block sotrage are limited to 100MB/s you cannot pumping more that number running DB not good idea you better off with NVMe instead. Even with bigger providers like ovh etc you will never got any performance with network attached even they are limited your iops which makes it worse. If you want jumping over please keep in mind it’s Dallas location.

excuse me but my personal opinion: another 3-4 such customers (who will wants also run 20+GB database on storage disks) and it will very soon works fast whole as USB flashdrive then for all.. People who wants runs such anything (incl. who wants it for miracle $20 annu.) would be use ONLY SSD or NVMe compute instances with enough GB capacity for it, or dedicated server - where you will not affect other customers (not abuse storage disks for it due from low price reason, what are primary purposed for files data or backups. it's stupid and harming not only provider, but also all other users/customers)

You are speaking without having a clue about the application. The long-term load on my other nodes is 0.00-0.01. The issue is that when data is retrieved, they are responsive and my LETBox node is not. A simple cp can produce the same I/O loads I'm generating, so I don't care about your uninformed personal opinion.
We kind of had this discussion already in the BF thread. I asked a simple question, hoping for a simple answer. I get that this is LET and I should expect dirt to be thrown, but seems it is best to just suck it up for a year, then move on.
You firstly mentioned "you LA cluster" (on last/newest at the end "LETBox node is not responsive"!) I'm sure when u will another one server(vps) add into (into your "LA cluster" as u wrote) from Dallas location this will be 100% sure more responsive as is mentioned LA letbox VPS w current IO speed for storage disks: thanks to additional latency says in better case min. + another 20-30 ms; and MAINLY thanks to network speed - what is lower than 100 MB/sec sure,
