Partial Power Outage in Las Vegas

@Fransciso.

Received the below email earlier today. Seems like the slabs are up and running again, but getting this error when programs are accessing the slab storage.

Do I need to open a ticket?

Error: Success
Signal code '2': Non-existent physical address.
Fault address: 0xb2727412
The fault address is not part of any chunk.
Aborted_

_Our datacenter suffered a partial brown out on their B side power at 8:00
AM, affecting our block storage cluster and a rack of slices. The block
storage shouldn't have been affected by this but we were still pending the
installation of a "A side" power feed for it. We will be pushing to expedite
this and have it completed by the 1st week of January.

If you were in a slice rack that wasn't affected but still have block
storage, please do a hard power off and back on to your VPS to make sure
your volume reattachs properly.

If you're still still having issues, need helps with FSCK's, or anything
like that please reply to this ticket and we'll sort you out.

We thank you for your patronage and apologize the terrible christmas gift.

  • I guess opening a ticket would be the sanest thing to do before opening an entire thread. Or heck, even talk to him on Discord

    Hello,

Yeah, please open a ticket and i'll check it out. Likely just a FSCK.

Supposedly the UPS dropped the load for a few seconds.

This is my screw up. I had a additional A/B strip for our slab nodes pending installation but i didn't finalize/confirm it was done.

LA always has outages. Nothing new.

If it's not power, then it's people's brains.

Thanks. I wasn't initially sure if there was an unrelated problem on my vps or was related to the slab. I have ran fsck and that fixed the problem.

Mods can close this now please.
