chinese court says Apple infringed on Qualcomm Patents
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/10/technology/apple-qualcomm-patents-ruling.html
A slowdown in iPhone sales has contributed to a roughly 25 percent slide in Apple’s share price since the company last released quarterly results on Nov. 1. The ruling also adds to developments that have worsened trade tensions between the United States and China, including the recent arrest of the chief financial officer of the Chinese electronics giant Huawei.
It looks like china will do whatever it take to hit US companies because of their zte, huawei got banned in US.
Comments
I think Qualcomm and Apple are both US companies...
well for once China decided to respect IP.
Did Apple really steal Qualcomm's IP? Or did Qualcomm falsely accuse Apple of IP theft?
Once they deal with international copyright laws, I think we'll consider complying.
Apple is overpriced crap.
Also they don't even give you the complete apple.
There's always a part missing.
Food for thought?
But all hardware made in China
Huawei and ZTE a giants of electronic manufacturing, ban in US just worse deal ever.
Imagine is the courts in China had to make a ruling on every IP breached in China.... at least everyone in the country would have 2 jobs to keep up.
China only one country who be able place real sanctions against US, same as US placed to half of World, ignore that just useless.
Read a book.
Read a news and learn history as well.
China complains about IP infringement?
Where is the end? Someone, please, tell me: where is the end?!
The end is nigh?
EDIT:
Typo.
In the middle of nowhere.
Good luck with your Communist Court Order's enforcement
They can ban Apple from selling in China. That’s easily enforceable.
But then how will they decide how to make the counterfeits?!
Not going to happen in a million years
without too much info on the case, i do find these patents ridiculous
