As far as I know they're tied to the account that claimed them.
I doubt it. Give it a try.
I thought I saw some support guy mention it last time. I don't need shared at the moment but if it does work I probably have some unused coupons to share as well.
Well like i said before, i doubt it. Even if it is tied to your account only, big deal. It won't work. No troubles.
Great. I grabbed a couple and will go over them tomorrow. Will share whatever goes unused. Love the initiative.
The coupon seems to be locked to the account.
Yes I believe they are. I suspect 90+% of them are grabbed and never used.
My shared hosting from last Black Friday went unused.
You sure? It might have been used by another. Does it say anthing while in check out?

If anyone is able to use one of the coupons posted here demonstrating that they aren't tied to the original accounts please say so.
I grabbed a coupon for the EV SSL deal (max 1000 available, all gone within 2 minutes). For those who also managed to grab the coupon; If you add an EV SSL certificate to your cart + apply the coupon code and then change the amount of certificates, you will get multiple ev ssl certificates at the discounted price!
I thought SSL is free from Let's Encrypt?
Why pay for it?
Because Namecheap is in the business of selling SSL certificates and hasn't set up their cPanel to automatically renew the free Let's Encrypt certificates.
Coupon can't share to another account because coupon only vailed with account get it.
Yes, but they give free 1 year of 50 PositiveSSL from Commodo within their cPanel..
I have a .com reg I don't need. Anyone want to trade for a wildcard SSL cert?
Some people want the green bar with EV SSL certificates. For normal certificates though, there are also certain applications where LetsEncrypt is inconvenient to setup because of its short renewal periods.
Indeed. Free SSL certificates from Let’s Encrypt are more then enough for regular websites etc. The EV SSL certificates are “Extended Value” SSL certificates. This means that you will only get the SSL certificate from the certificate authority after they’ve checked that you’re company info is legit. The visitor will see a green bar with your company name in the adress bar and not just the regular ssl lock. It can give extra confident for buying at webshops.
Anybody tried using codes from another account? They are tied to your account AND ip address as far as I can tell. My coworker used all his coupons yesterday, obviously using the same ip so now I can't use mine
Tried over a VPN as well but they seem to block it now
edit: if anybody wants to give it a try, I have 2 .coms 1 .net and a transfer coupon sitting unused....
Damn that EV one... I need it.
You have a second chance to get it on Cyber Monday
Gonna block all access to namecheap except for my own workstation on Monday!
Cool!
I just had the need for 1 .com domain offer. Now i'm ordering useless domains with the coupons for other extensions.. for whatever comes up in my mind.
