Need a VPS in TX that is not blocked by Netflix

edited October 2018 in Requests

Hey guys,

Looking for a VPS in TX that is not blocked by Netflix. Will need 1 CPU,1 IPv4, 10gb storage, 512mb-1gb ram, 2-3TB bandwidth on a gigabit port. KVM/XEN/VMWare. Budget is flexible, feel free to PM me any offers.
Also looking for the same thing in GA, if possible.

Thanks!

    good luck.

You may consider that some networks aren't blocked by netflix, but there is a quality/bw limit imposed by netflix that results in video being 360p-480p.

Interesting, I have not found such a provider that is limited thus far. Its either completely blocked or not at all. Thanks for letting me know, will add that to the checklist when testing :-)

Try some commercial VPNs, some work with netflix but will have bad quality, even if you're able to push 200Mbps+ through it.

  • This isn't worth it. Just get a smart dns. I fought this battle on my own for years and decided it wasn't worth my time or money.

You won't find any. Your best bet is vpn offering netflix unblock but that doesn't work too well in my experience.

Go with a proper VPN, they route Netflix traffic over Comcast/Verizon/etc business lines that aren't blocked. When they do get blocked they just rotate them out.

I don't really watch Netflix over VPN but while on vacation earlier this year I used my Windscribe plan and that seemed to work, they have a 'Windflix' location which is for Netflix usage.

    Got an example?

Windscribe did this last time I looked, IPs were all Verizon or Comcast business

  • I suggest using SmartDNS or VPN provider.

  • Thank you all for the recommendations. I know it is easier with a VPN, but it is unfortunately not what I am after.
I think I have TX fully covered now, if anyone has any offers for GA - that would be great.

    Thank you.

  • Right now there is a free 1 year offer for TorGuard VPN at StackSocial, but I do not know how well Netflix is "enabled". It's free, therefore you can try it for free, a whole year.

  • Anynode's Los Angeles data center may be.

It was a 50% off that became free for a short period.
