Be careful with their contracts. Read them twice...
Eg https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/152720/netcup-did-not-follow-cancellation-procedure-and-now-keeps-on-receiving-invoices/p1
You don't need to read it twice to understand. Usually a single read is enough, especially when coupled together with the understanding the service is recurring and, as with your mobile phone, will need to be cancelled to avoid it continuing.
That is the understanding I have. Also, expect the cancellation fees to be 100% committed service fee for every month you want to cancel before the end of the contract.
absolutely this. even if you cancel early you are expected to pay for the full term of the contract. also keep in mind that you are require to push the cancellation button 30 days in advance to the end of the contract anyway or face another full term.
most contracts they ask for a full upfront payment, it's not always monthly billing. it usually is stated on the order page like contract period vs. billing period.
and thinks are different for their vServers which you pay upfront for a certain amount but they charge hourly and might refund afterwards.
As long as one understands what "a contract" is, no need to read anything actually.
According to Netcup T&Cs you have to pay in advance by default:
4.1. Unless a different payment schedule has been agreed, all fixed-fee payments are to be made in advance for the billing period as stated in the service specification https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/agb.php
There may be various cancellation cases, so you better stay in touch with the provider's support.
Depends on the price, if its cheap yes, if it costs like 20EUR a month, its by monthly basis but like for example a contract for 6 months.
They mention it.
