    I tried ordering with you, but for some reason if I try to check out with Paypal from US Paypal does not let me complete the transaction due to regulations? Do you know if anyone else has gotten this?

    I ordered with US paypal without any issue a few hours ago.

  • How do you change language?

  • hzrhzr Member

    I think there is only one language.

    Was it business account or personal? I am getting "cannot be completed" on US verified business.

  • I figured I'd probably lose a few $, but for $16/year, why not.

    After a day of use, I've been pleasantly surprised by the performance but, of course, the real test will be how this holds up once the node is full up and the service oversold. After all, in the end you get what you pay for.

    Sign up was easy enough through Google translate. Naturally, all the emails were in Russian too and went straight to my spam folder ...

    IPv6 config was a bit odd, the details provided were:

    IPv6: 2a00:b700::1:1e0
    GW: 2a00:b700::1:1

    which doesn't provide the prefix details and more importantly doesn't actually work. It would appear the GW should probably be 2a00:b700::1 which would make more sense.

    Obligatory bench.sh below. This was done after a fresh reboot at ~17:00 UTC (peak time around Europe). According to the Proxmox control panel, the node had 61% disk usage, 96.7% memory usage and approx 50% cpu usage. Generally CPU on the node seems to hover about 45-50%.

    Generally problem can be only when some flooders appears on CN nodes. We never overload our servers and we have big quantity of it. Can you write your CN number where you have problems?

  • No problems.
    Given the price, I had low expectations but I'm pleased to say my expectations have so far been exceeded. I hope it stays that way !

    Nah, I don't think it would.

    What you have hints at a /112 mask:

    2a00:b700:0:0:0:0:1:1e0  # Your full IP
    2a00:b700:0:0:0:0:1:1    # Your gateway

    So basically you and your gateway are within the 2a00:b700:0:0:0:0:1:xxxx subnet, and that's a /112.

    Should be noted they appear to use the common but still terrible practice of hosting multiple customers in the same /64 (or as in this case even /112!). You can pretty much forget sending E-mail on IPv6. Every extra IPv6 costs 1 rouble per month. It would cost about $275324538413575397/month to get even a single /64. Unfortunately this is another provider who doesn't "get" IPv6. But I suppose on a very cheap VPS in a weird location you can't really expect much.

    /64 can be dedicated if its needed for free by request

  • I may well be allocated a /112 but 2a00:b700::1:1 doesn't exist, so its either wrong or not configured.

    I guess I'm about to review how good the support is ... :)

    All requests resolved by ticket. If you wrote it to [email protected] you will got answer.

  • I mailed [email protected] (in English) and received a reply 23 minutes later (in English) confirming the correct gateway address was 2a00:b700::1 and this works fine.

    So the support response was nice and prompt, and I hope the server configuration emails will get updated for future customers. With tcpdump, I could clearly see other customers attempting to use the 2a00:b700::1:1 address.
