VPS Storage Indication
Hello everyone.
First, sorry for my English.
I need VPS Storage, which is not from EUROPA.
I have already tested Hostens, Contabo and some others that are from Europe, but the speed for me is ridiculous, it is only 1Mb speed, even with 1Gb port.
Even if you open a ticket, nobody can solve it.
I need 2TB Storage, with low cost and good quality, preferably US
Comments
Budget?
I did not understand.... budgetnode ?
Speed is probably an issue because of your own location. Where do you live?
You mentioned you wanted a low cost storage VPS. What is the amount you are actually willing to spend on it?
Brasil
It's the only thing I think about.
Will I have problems also with hosting USA?
I actually thought OP was trolling him, lol. Might make a good signature.
Request granted.
I have seen from $ 10 to $ 20, 2TB and some unlimited transfer
I did not find Storage plan on the site
@Virmach
They have a $14/mo 2TB plan. Its backordered at the moment though.
Linky
Is it possible to test for a day?
Is this company good?
Download 6M / S
Upload 500K / S
Why this difference? I'm testing from the same place.
Using Hostens server
It can be issue at your side, as if your connection is sucks any provider for you will be the same. I think you need to upgrade your dialup connections in order to archive better speed.
The end is nigh.
If you are willing to stretch you budget, I have a 2TB dedi from Dacentec from $275/month. It comes back randomly so you should check their site daily.
So far it's been awesome with no complaints running almost 2 years.
Maybe look
http://letbox.com/page/cloud
I have 100MB here, and everything works just fine.
I am using client connection with 200mb, 300mb ... and I have the same result
Thank you all for the help.
Still looking for a new hosting to have my data replica.
But after 2 days of testing, I decided to use the NFS protocol for my backups.
And believe me, now I'm getting 100Mb
@ThyTe
Can you try downloading http://ogd.lg.budgetnode.net/100MB.test ?
@ThyTe I just hope you pass the data in some secured manner (tunneling).
NFS v2/v3 doesn't have any encryption to your data as far as I recall.
Try letbox ( @key900 ) they have free trail for one of their services (triple replica data).
I think you mean $25? I see those now and then. But connectivity to Brazil is the big issue here. I think you just have to run tests from wherever. Dedis in São Paulo are crazy expensive:
https://oneprovider.com/dedicated-servers/sao-paulo-brazil
and Oneprovider's page for Rio doesn't show anything.
I see @BunnyCDN has a POP in São Paulo. Bandwidth there appears to be very expensive (4.5 cents/GB). OP, you may be best off with local storage.
This is no more than 300KB / s
In fact, my data is already encrypted
But I do accept suggestion of how to improve security by NFS
I already have local storage on all clients.
But anyway I want to keep copies online, in cases of worse desatres.
This is kind of interesting, a VPS host in São Paulo: https://bannedprovider.net/
I don't see any storage plans from them though. I found them on WHT and don't know any more. There is also maxihost.com which has dedicated servers starting $200/month, way over your budget but at least they exist.
This place claims that their Dallas location has good routing to Brazil:
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1676447
You could ask them for a test file, or try other hosting in Dallas. I guess that's a logical location in the US for this.
PLEASE don't recommend those clowns. They're banned on LET for a reason.
Oh yikes, I didn't know that. Blecch. Thanks.
At https://MNX.io we have a 2TB storage server for $40/month; a little out there for LET pricing, but it's there!
@NickMNXio How is your transit to Brazil? That is the bottleneck here, rather than the storage itself.
I guess that depends on where he's connected; though we have quite a few folks from Brazil that use our platform! Just throwing out another US based option for them to try.
http://lg.chi.mnx.io might be of use for testing.
